I'm not sure what you mean by this. You can get sucker punched anywhere. The key is that you aren't expecting it, or the other guy has turned away as if letting it go and then suddenly hits you. That could be in the jaw, or anywhere.

Week 8? That's 14 week recovery time, not 10. Which 10 is the worst case scenario at this point and I highly doubt it takes him that long. He has been practicing consistently all summer, this isn't an I jury that will effect his throwing in any way. He may not practice in fear of hurting himself more but I'm willing to bet he will still be in the playbook, with the team, throwing passes, and staying I'm shape as his jaw heals. It's not going to kill his season.
It probably hurts for him to keep that face straight. He probably was encouraged by Roc Nation to make sure he takes a photo so people know his face is fine and he will be back. However you slice it, this is very bad for him...

Is 10 weeks healing time? Will his jaw be wired shut? That IG pic looks like its old, I don't notice any signs of surgery at a glance. If his jaw gets wired shut he'll be on a liquid diet and lose weight and muscle that will also need to be rebuilt before he can play.
I love when people ask questions like they are friends with these athletes. "Hey Geno, you around week 3 of the season? I have tickets and I was wondering if you are still good to go. Let me know"
While this was unfortunate, let's keep things in perspective. We still have a great defense and we did draft a QB with some upside this year. 1999 was a disaster, by comparison this is just a hiccup.
