Vets ahead of rooks. He is making the young guys and old guys earn it. "Vets, do you want your job?... than go out there and keep in from the young blood" "Rooks you want a job??... than go and take it" Motivational tool all the way right here.
right- he learned it from his predecessor that got fired... someone who he has never coached or played a single day of football with? He didn't possibly develop his own style/player evaluation tendancies after his 29 years involvement in professional football where he's worked closely over the years with coaching/personnel HOFers like Joe Gibbs, Ron Wolf, Bill Parcells, and other longtime coaches like Andy Reid, Bruce Arians and Wade Phillips..
Freaking out over the very first depth chart is up there with booing your QB during the 6th padded practice of training camp. Relax people. I would imagine that changes a whole lot before 9/13.
meh. whatever, I don't think so. Its noteworthy that he's listed there and people are making note of it. hardly "freaking out"
Bowles said in the spring that amaro would be hb and cumby would be te. there is nothing to be alarmed about re. Amaro right now
Like others I'm surprised that Posey is listed above Enunwa, Evans, and Graham considering Posey has been injured all camp. Also surprised that Marcus Williams is so low. I've read a lot so far this camp about how good Enunwa, Shaq and Marcus Williams have looked and I'm surprised it's not reflected in the depth chart. Although I suppose the coaches see more than our intrepid beat writers and have to assume they know better.
I think PFT has the right idea on this... Amaro will be more of an H-Back, or slot guy. For a running team, which I assume the Jets will be, the blocking TE's are in on first down.
