complimentary? they're not complimentary at all. science searches for reason and answers, not to mention admits when it doesn't know something yet, and religion
is simply letting someone else do your thinking for you, makes you feel guilty for natural incliniations, and uses magic and mysticism for answers.

Just curious, which religious denomination were you affiliated with when you were growing up?

    Blow me hypocrite.

Intolerant religio-centric bigots like yourself disengenuously preach 'love' that is when they're not finding fault with everyone. Take the French as an example:

You: they use their face to have sex!

Me: invented the blowjob - props.

Here's the conundrum with sodomy and homosexuality and the Catholic Church.

Can two lesbians--without the use of dildoes or fingers or oral sex--scissor kick each other into oblivion--technically NOT sodomy--be accepted by the Church?

I'm thinking lesbians may have found a loophole into the good graces of Catholicism.

Just don't stick your dick in any of them unless it's a vagina and for the sole purpose of having children.

Kind of like when Galileo dropped the cannonball off the Leaning Tower of Pisa to prove gravity was a constant and some religious zealot (Truth the First?) said you can stand beneath it and not be harmed if you have faith (and don't beat off too much.)

If it was only my opinion, it wouldn't be worth much....the fact that it is supported by countless other smart, educated people gives it credibility! It's not just one man's opinion!

No, it's supported by zealots who have been brainwashed like so many other sheep.

According to your line of reasoning, Science is "simply letting someone else do your thinking for you" as well....I mean, how many scientific experiments have you performed in your life? How many scientific discoveries have you made? Seems to me you just blindly follow what scientists tell you. Religion is not just someone's opinions or beliefs; it is based on thousands of years of revelation, discovery, the work of very smart religious leaders, theologians, etc, lots of reasoning and logic, etc, backed by millions of people throughout the ages. It's very well-documented and supported (at least the major world religions). The only difference is that religion can't be proven using scientific methods for the simple fact that it deals with the spiritual, or supernatural, or metaphysical, things that can be experienced but not experimented on, or proven. But it's no less real for the billions of religious people worldwide.

Religion doesn't "make you feel guilty", that's a common misconception among non-religious people. Religion helps you to become more joyful, more content and at peace, and more happy in the long run. It does this by helping us to make smart choices for ourselves, and avoid self-destructive sinful behaviors. In doing so, we avoid addictions, attachments to material things, and emotionally/psychologically harmful behavior. In addition, it helps us to form more loving, satisfying personal relationships. There's a reason secular therapy programs like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous use Christian moral principles in their programs. This stuff really works!

Ultimately, some level of faith will always be required, but we can use reason, logic, and even science to help bolster our faith. There is absolutely nothing in science that contradicts anything in religion, again because science and religion are concerned with different aspects of reality. In fact, my study of science in school has helped me to see how reasonable and logical my religious faith is!

    So we've gone from:

Science proves the existence of God, to

Science actually DOESN'T prove the existence of God but doesn't disprove it, to

Therefore God exists because it can't be disproven by science so is instead really Supernatural magic, to

Catholicism, even though a relative latecomer is the one true religion, to

Catholic priests, even though from the best religion ever have been falsely accused of raping children and it is a fact that no priest has ever been convicted of sexual abuse of a child, to

Puritanical bullshit that the Catholic Church accepts all gays and they are allowed to have as much sex as they want as long as it's penis to vagina sex for the sole purpose of having children.

    Sounds about right.

Like no one's been defrocked because of the cock?

    Laicization: it's no myth.

    "well we all need,
    someone we can cream on,
    and if you want to,
well you can cream on me"

Formulate that in a way that an English speaking person could understand. Thanks.

It doesn't work for 90 - 95% of participants so you might want to find a better way to bolster your argument.
