I don't now if anyone mentioned this but the Minnesota judge ruled against the union and the case will be in New York. The judge assigned the case told both sides to try to settle and to tone down the rhetoric. Good chance an injunction might not be allowed letting Brady play until this goes to trial. Which means he is screwed.
He got used. He ran with a bogus report from league offices. It's not his fault, he used a good disclaimer.
Anyone want to take a stab at explaining why exactly the NFL leadership leaked a phony report on the run up to the super bowl and refused to clarify it even while it was being used to smear one of the starting QBs?
First tell us which person in NFL leadership leaked it? Chances are you can't because there is nothing, except one reporter, who says he got it from a source, not leadership. I know in your head 1 plus 1 equals 3 so I don't expect you to understand, many times sources are wrong, maybe this source overheard 2 PSI as he stood with his ear to the door and then transferred the slightly wrong information. None of this matters though because 11 of the 12 balls were all still deflated below the amount allowed in the rule books and it was not the weather that deflated them, it was P*ts personal doing as instructed by Br*dy. It doesn't matter if one ball was 2 PSI, another was 1.7 PSI, etc., illegal is illegal. I'm sure tomorrow there will be another angle coming out of NE, keep trying.
Court date ordered with Brady and Goodell to attend 8/12 and 8/19 Both sides must come prepared to find a good faith settlement, per Judge in NYC.
I hope you arent just running with florios half assed reporting. Hes been trying to spin this for click traffic since day one. He has some sorta anti league office bias and isnt exactly a clued in reporter. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
I'm not sure which report you're talking about. But I'll take a wet noodle over chris mortensen. There are reports now that it was Mike Kensil, it came out of Boston, I'm not running with that unless it's confirmed as a truth by someone else. Multiple someone else. Same as I didn't run with the mort report. The emails to the NFL released today show some absolute truth. I have a problem there, as would any rational person. They handicapped New England for the Super Bowl, which is the only reasonable outcome of not clarifying false reports that are being reported on every single news organization and beyond including Meet the Press. I think they're ruining football and turning it into a circus act. I mean all team animosity aside, this isn't the year I'd want to be my breakout year like the Jets seem poised for. The NFL is becoming a laughing stock reality show driven by public opinion of players as if they are characters. Unfortunately, they were stupid enough to wait to release this until after 5PM on a Friday, unless it's meant as some sort of veiled threat. www.wellsreportcontext.com
I know I know, it's weird to defend the patriots on the jets message board. I'm just looking for sound logic and it's not in what you wrote. Anger and wishful thinking can't change reality. Neither can NFL PR. Only perception which typically eventually matches reality. The good news? The "conference" between Goodell & Brady will have reporters in the room.
Just because a reporter used a source doesn't make him an NFL executive as you stated and it certainly doesn't mean he had clear access to what he was passing on. Me making the point that it could have been someone who was not supposed to be privy to the information and thus may has given Mortensen the wrong info is not a ridiculous hypothetical. I also have no idea who has Morts number, I'm sure many people do not just NFL execs as you seem to be implying. As far as you bringing up the Colts balls It is not even an issue because it is clear there was serious deflation done by the P*ts crew, of course most of us know that but it has to be spelled out to you at least once a day.
The footballs of both teams were inflated to two different PSI levels prior to presentation to refs. There is no recollection by the refs as to which gauge was used to measure who's footballs to begin the game. Which means the Patriots PSI's could have started off more than 1+ psi below the Colts in the first place, accounting for what you posted above. Which means the halftime measurements would be different. Measuring the air pressure at different times at halftime or pre-game would produce varying results all on it's own.
Well thought out response. It's still nothing more than a matter of the pats trying to use misdirection to gain sympathy. The balls were still deflated, nothing can change that. we can't forget that. I don't think this is about deflated balls. This is about Brady's ego. Even you have to admit, he knew, and they had been deflating balls. A recent poll showed that most pats fans are even starting to acknowledge that. If Brady just says get yeah it was a mistake taken too far, then it'd be done. He'd get a game or two and that's it. He is the one dragging this out; when the reality is, he has no shot in court. Sent from my VK700 using Tapatalk
