Sid Luckman is a hall of fame QB with four championships, five time first team all pro (one time second team), League MVP, Three time League TD leader, and holds the NFL record with 7 TD passes in one game. Please elaborate on why you seem to think Dan Marino can hold Sid Luckman's jock.
Apples and oranges, with all the rule changes to protect the QB and WRs, Marino barely played the same sport.
Marino played before all of the new passing rules were implemented. They really came into effect after the Colts complained about Ty Law mauling receivers in the early 2000s. For me personally, I hate including guys from the 40s in all time great lists. They were basically playing a school yard game that was unregulated. Everything was legal. It must've been a blast to watch but in all reality I think all time great lists should generally start in the 60s on. Even for basketball. Wilt played against 6'2 white guys really before most black athletes were allowed to join. How is he allowed on all time greats lists? Baseball's the only sport you can do it for even though I've read that they counted one hoppers over the fence as homers in the early 1900s. It's the sport with the least changing variable.

Dude you have Dan Marino. At best as the 25th best QB. Just let it go. When everyone tells u you're wrong, there's a very good chance that you are.
Dude. I'm pretty sure you can find Dan Marino stats online. You might have heard of a few along the way as well. Here's one, he had 420 TDs to 250 INTs. He also threw for over 60,000 fuckin yards. did Luckman threw an INT for every TD he threw.
He's channeling his inner junc. Leave him be, anyone putting Marino lower than 5 or 6 on the GOAT list is just trolling you. And had he gotten that one SB--which he didn't admittedly--he'd be top 1-2. He was a better QB than Montana but you can't deny Montana's 4-0 rings. By contrast, Bradshaw has those rings but he can't be considered in the same paragraph as Marino, much less the same sentence. Sonny Jurgenson. Hahahaa. Joe THEISMAN?!? _
Marino had one of the quickest releases of any QB in NFL history. Strong arm, ball placement skills? A++++++ the man had no weakness in his game. He carried that Dolfags franchise on his back for his entire career. 5,084 passing yards and 48 touchdowns his 2nd year. No QB has been able to put forth such statistics in their 2nd season. I know this is whole issue is about Ken O'Brien. I got respect for O'Brien, but he's no Marino.
He was a better pure passer and had a better arm than Montana, but a better QB? No freaking way, my friend.
Better passer, quicker release, incredible ball placement, incredible leader, fiery, great pocket awareness. Montana was an exceptionally accurate mobile precision passer and leader and winner. 2 all time greats. Give me Marino my friend. IMHO a better pure QB. Montana was exceptional in that system. _
