Here is his statement on his Facebook page http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl...his-facebook-page/ar-AAdEUr2?ocid=mailsignout. I was looking to see if he was using tricky language. And he claims he gave Wells all of the requested emails etc. and even tried to get additional ones from his provider (of course you can do that when you know they won't give them to you). He remains steadfast in proclaiming his innocence.

btw his "generous" settlement offer was everything his way---a fine but no suspension. And I'm sure he would have disowned the fine as BS but paid it or said it was going to charity or something. What's with this guy. He's made an issue that didn't have to be so big gigantic.

So you think cheating is OK. I am sure that is what your wife tells her boyfriend.

Yeah and unless the fine was for multiple millions of dollars--he wouldn't have even felt it.

Just go ask Gizelle for an advance on his allowance.
You're making comments about Hillary and tossing insults at me. That's derailment. Start a thread on her in the BS forum if you want to vent.
HC did essentially the same thing as TB (sought to cover up evidence) and I merely tested your integrity to see if you would be consistent in holding to principles that wouldn't suddenly be compromised or fall victim to political partisanship. And alas, you showed you couldn't hold true to that standard and instead threw an irrelevant red-herring about "highway bills" into the mix and in doing so, you proved me right. And, it is you who are the one ranting. You've proven to have no objective cred. Deal with it and stop needing to respond. Your double standard's been exposed. No need to selfishly prolong this. Patriots-related or gtfoh, period.

Well, Kraft's calling for forgiveness from the NE fanbase while taking a mulligan and circling the wagons leaves nothing else to talk about until the appeals process has been completed. And just in the nick of time: Jets open camp tomorrow thank god.

This is like having one of the best appetizers you've ever had whilst waiting for your main entree at a restaurant you've been waiting to get into for months.

    It's incredibly delicious.

And while I am extremely respectable to realworld wait staff--this gives us the added benefit of being able to shit all over the worst e-waiters in the world that are trying to feed us bullshit.

    Bring on MORE Pats tools.

They will be even worse if the union gets him off on a technicality.

I'm trying to figure out what that technicality might be.

The NFL loses theses battles over abuse of power and not about the details of the infraction.

The CBA permits Goodell to be judge and appellate judge. Could be seen as an abuse of power even if collectively bargained for.

In this case he permitted Troy Vincent to be the judge and he took the part of appellate judge.

Power spread out is better than just Goodell bringing the double barreled ban hammer, no?

Oh, I have no idea what the technicality is going to be, that's what the union pays its lawyers for. But Goodell and the league seem to get these things reduced often enough by the courts, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it happens here.

This.... I am a diehard UNLV basketball fan, we won a national title in 1990 and were screwed out of one in 1991 but in 1992 guess where UNLV was? Home watching on TV because despite being a top 10 team all season they were on probation. While allegations of cheating were never proven there certainly are rumors of it and the photographs of the players in a hot tub with Richard "the fixer" Perry doesn't do the program any favors. That 1990 team was quite possibly the greatest achievement by anyone of anything in the history of my home state of Nevada but I have to live with the reality that it is possible that Tarkanian cheated and their title might be tainted. It's a sad reality and one I wish didn't exist but in the eyes of many rival fans, coaches and media it is one they believe.

I know as a Je fan it is easy for me to say, but can someone explain to me why Kraft should get away with slandering the league? Which is what he did.

Talking about having no proof, what proof does Kraftie have that the league intended to work this process to his team's detriment? If he can't prove that, then he slandered them

The there's the business about sayng he thought there would be a quid pro quo in not appealing their ruling as regards the Pats, and in return expecting them to exonerate Brady. Sounds reasonable until you remember the nasty things he was saying about the league back then. Given the so called lack of integrity he felt the league had back then, how could he now claim he thought there'd be a quid pro quo?

Did someone in the league office tell Kraftie there'd be a quid pro quo? Imply it?

I sounds instead like more petulant whining, intended for the benefit of Patsie fans.

If I were Goodell I would fine Krafie and tell him the next time he slanders the league Goodell will sue him and look at ways to make him sell the team.

    The punishment.
Precedent for fucking with footballs = a warning (Car/MN), to a $10k fine (SD).
Precedent for hurting Goodell's butt with 'uncooperative' phone-retaining behavior =$50k fine (Brett Favre's Junkshotgate).

Even with all the proof in the world (it doesn't exist, but whatever) the discipline for Brady is so outside of established precedents that it's whacky.

Brady will beat the NFL in court, just like Peterson, and Rice, and Hardy, and Vilma, and..., and... and...

In fact Kraftie really doesn't get that from the league's perspective, he gave up nothing by not appealing back in May. He did himself a favor by not doing that, not the league. The league was goig to win, so he gave them nothing.

You cant have a quid pro quo without the quid.

Brett Favre's case had nothing to do with the integrity of how the games are played.

    Next!

    Geez those teams were great.

When I think back on that team I may have thought at the time they were cheating but as I look back now I really don't think about that, just what an supremely talented and extremely entertaining bunch of kids they were.

But they were kids, no money, probably not from wealthy backgrounds and I think they were enticed into doing whatever it was that they did. Hell, college sports is rife with cheating, my alma mater and the worst of all UNC.

    But again, essentially kids.

Brady is a grown man, a multi multi millionaire and the Pats are a professional team.

I think in retrospect folks respect what UNLV and Tark were but nobody will ever respect what Brady and the Pats are.
