If given the chance what's the one play or moment you'd change in Jets history?

That was painful, but the Gastineau roughing the passer penalty was much worse IMO. We had that great team that jumped out to 10-1, everyone got hurt, then we squeezed into the playoffs. At one point in the season we were the best team in the league (NY Sack Exchange). If that penalty doesn't happen we would have won and then beaten Denver and gone to the Super Bowl. It was just a gut wrenching play. If we beat Pittsburgh, we still had to go to New England to win and they would have been heavy favorites, but you never know I guess.

I went up there for that game. It was my bachelor party weekend. When Brady came into the game, we were like "Tom who???" After the game we stopped at an empty BBQ restaurant bar just down the road, and the owner sat with us and wondered out loud how his business would be since he wasn't getting off to a good start and the Pats looked dead. We felt sorry for him and the Pats. In the years that followed, he had a goldmine and is probably retired living on his own Caribbean island.

Well, in terms of off the field after firing Carroll and hiring Kotite. Not drafting Dan Marino. We could have had him.

Hey at least a quarterback was selected; passing on Marino because you already had a washed up middle tier 35 year old QB like Terry Bradshaw was a lot worse. Good thing they got 1 more game out of him.

I'd make it so Big Ben didnt complete that pass to end the game in the AFC Championship. I think we end up winning that game if Pitt has to punt.

The reason I chose to change the fumble as oppose to the last Ben completion was because that fumble put the game out of reach. Had we gone into the half down 17-3 instead of 24-3 we probably take the lead late assuming the defense holds Pitt on that final drive.

2000 NFL Draft. In the 6th Round:

Instead of drafting DE Tony Scott with the 179th pick, the Jets select Tom Brady.

He sits and rots behind Testaverde and Pennington for years, until he ultimately is out of the league by 2004.

It's still one of the most stunning things I've experienced as a sports fan. From contending for the division and looking good for the playoffs, one play sent us into a spin where we lost 33 of 37 games.

People need to stop criticizing the Ken O'Brien pick.

At least 20 other teams also passed on Marino. He was the sixth QB taken in that draft.

Picking Blair Thomas with Emmit Smith and Junior Seau on the board is another story.

It wasn't that important in the grand scheme of things but Tebow's run to beat us made me want to break my TV

Some good ones already listed. Been thinking about this game lately, at the 1:56 mark in the 2nd quarter. If Coleman (30), jumps a little bit later or gets 0.5secs more of hang time, the Jets come away with a pick, and stop the Colts momentum. Of course, the NYJ could still have lost that game, but that one play permanently took the momentum away. If it goes the other way, who knows what could have happened.

Could our side have defeated the Saints? I'd like to think so.

I'm not criticizing the pick. Or for that matter second guessing the Jets for not selecting any great player they had a shot at. Ken O'Brien was a good player. But if I had a choice I'd take Marino.

The overtime games (Lions & Browns) were the closest games where one play would make the most difference.

One game that could have gone the other way if we could take a bad play back was the season ending loss to the 2000 SB Champion Baltimore Ravens.

Vinny had more than 450 passing yards in that game against one of the best defenses in NFL history.
