The empire to fall may very well be the NFL. This is going to Federal Court and the NFL is gonna lose. Anyone following this with a shred of intelligence can see the NFL has no leg to stand on. They may very well lose their anti-trust exemption. Their recent botching of punishments already have gained the interest of several Senators and this shit show may be the last straw.

The Players Union filed their appeal in Minnesota. Not sure if it goes down which jurisdiction takes precedence. A lot of legal games going on. And not a lot of truth being told. It takes a backseat when you hire million dollar lawyers.

    Hahahaaa another Patriot tool.

They are not losing their anti-trust exemption over the league catching a fucking cheater.

They may extend the exemption as an atta boy.

I would think the Federal Courts would look to the choice of law jurisdiction and venue mandated in the CBA (I would think NY) or the venue that the NFL filed their motion first.

This. There's got to be a clause in the CBA that dictates where lawsuits regarding the CBA are to be filed and heard.

Yeah but when the steroid cheats from the Saints sought to have their suspensions lifted they filed in some weird jurisdiction.

But I would think since the NFL filed first presumably in the jurisdiction mandated in the CBA, that the courts would honor that provision.

Minnesota makes all kinds of sense. I mean, the team and the player are in Massachusetts, the league HQ is in NY, the alleged misconduct occurred in Mass and affected a team in Indiana.

Brady should retire. If he comes back and doesnt play to previous standards- for any reason- the general view will be that he cheated for all of his success.
The only way for him to salvage his reputation is to come back and win a Super Bowl and I think that's a too-tall order for many reasons.
He can quit and say hes making a stand of some sort. I guess.

Btw what ever happened to the staffers who were doing the dirty work? Are the Pats backing up these guys or did they get thrown under the bus?

The Pats fired them immediately ... which happens all the time when you are 100% certain nobody did anything wrong and that you're being railroaded by the league. *rolls eyes*

It makes sense to you that they would fire two part time guys just because whatever? Thinking that it admits guilt?

Or is it because they were talking s*** about TB12?

Thats what i thought. So the Pats are admitting the balls were intentionally deflated but saying it was masterminded and carried-out by junior staffers.
Got it. Just wanted to make sure i had it right. Awesome!
