And they said d'Arnaud back this weekend.

Think about the catcher depth d'A and Plawecki versus Plawecki and Recker.

Noah further showing why he's untradeable. He has ace stuff.

I know Sandy is easy to bash but Im glad we have a GM that sees the talent on this staff and refuses to trade them.

Could be the biggest weekend in Citi Field history to this point.

If Miami does us a favor the next couple days , even better. All I know is Harvey , deGrom , Noah and we miss Scherzer.

    I like it.

CinderGod makin' the perfecto bid...Holy Cow!

+1 On them not trading any of the young pitching studs. Golden

Terry was saying afterwards that nobody was expecting this out of Thor so soon. Wow!

Fwiw, Sandy said the trade for Clippard was just about completed when Meija went down. He cited Clippard's experience and the added depth, and Meija's ineligibility for the post season for the trade. Coincidence, he mentioned the timeline too.

Meija screwed us on a very deep BP...Sandy also said that's prolly it tho on adding any more relief pitching via trade in lieu of the Meija insanity

Yeah I had dreams about a backend of Meija, Clippard, Parnell and Familia-what a lot of fire power for the 7th, 8th and 9th.

Even though Meija wasn't available for the playoffs, you could slot in Colon or Niese or even Matz to take one of those innings.

    Geezuz what an ass.

There ya go. Good idea, didn't think of that. They're still deep as all hell. And still rich in the minors. :)

    C-ya Mejia...

Here's a thought.. Didn't Mejia say he truthfully didn't know what he took the first time he got popped? Wouldn't you think after the first failure you would wake up and not risk it? Maybe he just kept taking his daily vitamins or kept to his daily diet and he got popped again for being ignorant?

Nonetheless.. it sucks for the Mets he got caught & his Mets career is most definitely over! Great move by Sandy to land Clippard

He got popped for taking Stanzolol and Boldenone the first time.

He got popped for Stanzolol the second time.

I'm no pharmacist (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last nite) but I don't think Stanzolol is something you take accidentally or is in a normal vitamin regiment or exists in a standard diet.

He must have had instructions on how to mask it and he fucked up.

    Twice.

Two days 'til the trade deadline.

T d'A comes back this w/e. Wright may be close. Matz is coming around.

I hope Sandy can still swing something tho. He never gets leveraged on trades tho, and that's a good thing. Should be interesting

He said that waiver moves are always done also, so there's always something possible after Friday

Oooof it's going to be brutal out there tonite. Having a beer right now which is a bad move because the guys we're going with will start ordering double Tito's rocks as soon as we get to Citifield.

Heading to the park at 3:15 for BP--I'll get pics this time and dinner with Mookie before the game.

Would love to see Duda continue on his tear- he's really the key to this second half. Need that big bopper in the middle of the lineup.

If he gets back on track and we get any semblance of d'Arnaud this weekend, we could actually take this division.

Love the pitching match ups this weekend- must see TV.
