Even Sandy said a month ago that making a trade and getting more offense could psychologically help this team. They needed something. Hope they're not using up all of their hits for the week in one night. But the mind is a very complicated and wonderful thing.

You have to think Harvey had a bit more confidence tonight knowing he had a different lineup behind him

15 runs in one game probably matches their whole output for July, Conforto 4-4 nice

My take on Conforto so far. What's most impressive is that he doesn't swing at bad pitches. He was hitting in AA and so probably didn't bring any bad habits that happen when a player's in a slump. You know like with Lucas Duda. The scouts said he was one of the best if not the best hitter in college baseball last year and very advanced. He's a line drive hitter and can hit to all fields. Let's see if he can keep his composure esp after he goes thru the NL one time and opponents get a book on him. The Dodgers did make an adjustment on him last night and he hit it through the hole. If he can do that regularly he'll have a long career.

Just swung at a bad pitch from Greinke lol. Power change up on the outside part of the plate. Greinke made him look like Duda.

Yeah, I know. But it wasn't that bad.;) It wasn't in the dirt like with Duda. We'll see if he has bat control. Two of the guys he hit yesterday are in the minors. A far cry from Greinke.

Leave it to our top offensive pitching staff to end the scoreless inning streak of the current best pitcher in baseball. Total Degromination, degromination, degromination, degromination...

Agreed. His bat speed is very quick which is impressive. There really is nothing wrong with his hitting at this point so I hope the coaches dont try to make him be something that he's not.

If Plawecki can stay above water (over .230) catching almost every game in the summer he's done a good job. Usually catchers in the dog days of summer wilt and their BAs go way down. If Travis comes back and they split the catching maybe his average will go up. He looks like he's MLB.

Saw that coming. Familia really struggles against the better teams in the NL.

BIG win to split that series!

Nats lose too so if not for a horrible manager we would have tied them for 1st in the division today. Just sayin

TC bailed out by putting on that Tejada bunt too. I dont get that one at all.

Keeps it interesting though. Padres this week before the huge series next weekend.
