Just a little reminder why some of us love some Kerley. Dude was a beast before Geno got here. If you haven't watched this highlight vid, definitely check it out.

Special shout out to you, rexandthecity ;)

Thanks for these. I had forgotten how effective he was.

Dude had an off year last year but he's still an important part of the offense.

Lol, good video. Some of the highlights actually are with Geno though. I love the guy, he's been one of my favorite players, but I was just pointing out that the slot guy shouldn't be leading the team in targets every year like he has been. I think he's much better suited as a 3 or 4 than a 1 or 2, which is where he is now. Everyone wins here.

damn that play against #39 Seattle was pretty awesome. I wonder why he's regressed in regards to punt returns?

Sanchez is a real QB? And btw several of those plays were also thrown from Geno (ATL specifically.)

IMO if there was ever an excuse for Kerley's disappearance it has to be going from playing with Plaxico and somewhat good Holmes to Chaz Schilens and Stephen Hill. Now that Marshall and Decker are here he should be making big plays every game no matter who's throwing him the ball.

He also wasn't known as fair catch Kerley back then. I forgot he ever returned a punt longer than 5 years thanks for the video.

He's been a ton more conservative, I'd have to think that it's the coaching. Westoff leaving was really when he started to regress as a punt returner. Really the special teams as a whole have sucked since then.

Yup, that's Brandon Browner. He also took Jonathan Joseph to school in the video. 2 of the 'best' CB's in the league.

lmao @ "a real QB" ... he was on pace to do better than he did with sanchez in 2012 with Geno in 2013.. but he got hurt.. & Geno plays fairly well when Kerley is available to him... you tried though...

Lol! I have an ice cold 24 oz. Aquafina if you need it once you're finished sucking on Geno's nuts.

(Geno was literally the worst QB in the NFL last year)

Half the highlights are Geno? Where did you go to school, bro? Let me help you. Half = 50%. 3/14 (catches) = 21%. No where near half. 79% of the highlights were Sanchez.

Btw...do you know what sucks more than this thread? Geno's QB play.

we all know Geno sucks. But to call Kerley a " beast" is absolutely absurd.

It was an exaggeration. He's very solid. A beast like Megatron, Antonio Brown, AJ Green, Julio? No, not even close. But...compared to what we've had to endure the past couple years? ...he almost looks like a beast lol.

fair enough......hes a step slow...that's what keeps him from going to the next level IMO. But if he can catch some big 3rd down throws, he should compliment Decker and Marshall nicely....if Geno doesn't completely suck ass

Yeah, I agree. He's a perfect #3 guy. Could be one of the best #3's in the league. On paper he should thrive with Marshall and Decker on the outside. (If Geno doesn't stink it up, as you stated)

For the record, I know you started this thread as a counter to mine but we really are saying the same thing. Kerley is well above everything we've had lately but he's much better as a 3rd receiver than a 1 or a 2. I think him moving from the spotlight into that complementary role is going to be beneficial for both he and the Jets' offense.

A big part of that I'm sure is how bad our STs became. Didn't they also change the rules on STs that had an adverse affect on blocking for returners?
