I changed to CATHOLIC 20 years ago when I married my wife and raised my boys CATHOLIC. In the CATHOLIC CHURCH...I saw nothing but happiness...a priest that I didnt like because I thought he was pretty vain..walking in in his leather jacket. Still, he was a good guy and did well with my boys. I saw nothing from the CATHOLIC church that alarmed me..except their constant mailings to my house asking for more and more money. Nothing to lose sleep over....Im sure that happens to a lesser extent with most places of worship..but it happens. WITH THAT SAID....The catholic church has a problem with pedophile priests who go after younger boys. PERIOD. Dress it up all you like with percentages and 5 percents and all the other nonsense. If a child goes to school and gets molested by a teacher..if a child goes to camp and gets molested by a camp counselor...if a child goes to boys scouts and gets molested by a scout leader, those are all horrendous events..and anything that takes away a child's innocence should get the death penalty. IF A CHILD GETS MOLESTED BY SOMEONE WHO REPRESENTS GOD? 1 % is an epidemic. IN A CHURCH? Just let it go and stop defending..even if its was only 10 in this entire country...and its surely WAY MORE than that. Just leave it alone.

They ignore the main conclusions that were reached, and pick out small parts of the discussion and distort it to fit their agenda. The same thing the liberal media does. I was just watching Bill Donohue, the President of the Catholic League, on CNN, and he destroyed the arguments for gay "marriage" being proposed by the host of the program. Specifically, there was a lesbian "married" couple that was fired from a Catholic School, and the couple still defended the Catholic Church and remain loyal to their Faith. They explained that the school simply caved to the pressure of complaints by parents, but every public school does the same thing. So they didn't blame the Church, rightly. Donohue explained that private, religious institutions have a right to operate on the basis of their principles, and that the government cannot infringe on these rights. He made a great argument, and made his opponent look foolish. But he was met with derisive smirks and a regurgitation of the far left's "talking points", empty propaganda. I love watching Donohue or any Catholic on CNN because they expose how ridiculous the arguments of their opponents in the media really are.
I posted a link to a site that has over 400 priests who have been convicted yet you still claim "none of the cases I read involved a Priest actually being convicted of any wrongdoing. Just a bunch of baseless accusations where the case was dropped, or the Priest was acquitted.". LIAR

That's a lie. I spent a long time actually READING those reports and I had a hard time finding even one case of a Priest actually being convicted. Just a bunch of baseless accusations. But why should we be surprised, when a political establishment uses the media to spread propaganda (which is what's happening in this country today; by definition those who have been brainwashed by the propaganda don't see it for what it is!), abuses follow. Lies get spread. Like in Nazi Germany, when Hitler managed to brainwash his people into thinking that Jews were somehow less than human, so that he could be justified by popular opinion into rounding them up and killing them. Like today we have been brainwashed into thinking that it's OK for a mother to kill her baby in the womb, or that it is OK for a child to be adopted by "2 fathers" or "2 mothers"; we have changed the definition of those terms, and of the term family, thus depriving children of their natural right to both their mother and father. Or that sodomy is OK as long as the woman has been convinced by her "man" that she is being "uptight" or "prudish" if she doesn't let him violate her and she doesn't "take it in the ass". Make no mistake, that is grave abuse! But we have becomed desensitized to all these things. It's the work of the devil over a long period of time. He is cunning, and has helped to brainwash people so that evil acts are no longer recognized as such, and serious abuses are somehow accepted. Sad. The good people in the world have a lot of work to do to restore the culture to sanity.

Even our colleges and universities have fallen victim to the false ideologies out there, and are part of the brainwashing machine. The only trustworthy sites anymore are from genuine academic sources, and the Catholic Church is the only institution like that left in the world. Although even many of its universities have been taken over by the perverts, the nonsensical propaganda spewers who want to be "free" to fornicate themselves and enslave themselves in sin. Ironically they are destroying their own human dignity in the process. (the shrinks love it though, they're making a fortune!) You have to search to find good, Catholic Universities nowadays. Even Georgetown and Fordham have caved to the powers that be. Again, sad. As a result, the colleges and universities that are still genuinely Catholic are rapidly gaining in popularity. Fortunately, many of our young people manage to see the truth through the "fog of lies" that has infected our culture.

They are numbered, which one did you not find conviction info on? None, because they were all convicted.
