    You say that in order to grandstand for the Namath fans on the board but that's not the reality of the situation.

    where did I attack you? please show me? I can show where you have been attacking me.

    I didn't see Babe Ruth play, I know of his greatness, I didn't see Otto Graham or Don Hutson play- I know of their greatness. I never saw Joe play but I am informed enough to voice my opinion. when all you have is "you didn't see him play" you don't have an argument.

    you want to argue Jeter? go ahead but it's comical that you would call Jeter overrated and not Namath when Jeter had a spectacular career unlike Joe.

    discussing players honestly does not mean "hating" them. Nowhere have I bashed Joe but for the hero worshippers if you say anything other than "Joe's the bestest!" then you are bashing him.

    This thread has gotten ugly b/c of a few posters that don't have an argument for Joe bashing others in order to deflect.
