I can't tell if that is from the entire season or just the one month? I took it as saying like we are batting 0.091 from the 5th spot and it's already July. Not two weeks in where the numbers can be skewed.
Jacob deGrom first pitcher in All Star Game history to strike out 3 batters in one inning on 10 (or fewer) pitches. _
Not sure if this was posted but we are 33-5 when scoring 4+ runs. Wright and Darneu need to come back asaps to give this lineup a boost. The more I think about the more tulo makes sense. If we are playing .860 ball when we score 4+ tulo could seriously help
I'm starting to get discouraged with Wright's return any time soon. Hope we hear something soon. Here's some positve news on T a'A...incredibly he's only played 19 of 89 games, damn. He's gotta stay healthy from here on in....http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/...arnaud-reportedly-close-to-rehab-stint-071515
d'Arnaud coming back would be huge. Going to one of the Dodger games next week, would love to see him in the lineup. _
Tulo has a massive contract and he's gonna be 31. Prolly not a fit for them as they're doing business now. Just a thought: If they would just take on some money for the short term maybe Carlos Gomez could be had for a year and half rental. It's prolly a long shot because other teams might be willing to give up more than us, and I don't see Sandy giving up Pitching, or too much youth period. Add the Coupons bs and it starts to become a pipe dream I covet Gomez...A 5 tool guy that could really energize the lineup with power and speed.
We don't need huge contracts. We have one in Wright. Besides its totally unrealistic with this ownership. But there are affordable pieces we could acquire. We did it years ago when they got Donn Clendenon. There is no excuse for carrying sub .200 bats on this roster. And it is do-able.
I can dream I guess... He's a dynamic player... but out of reach, alas. lol Another guy on the 'mill' is Josh Riddick, as a rental for the rest of the year. Doable with the money too I would think. A good hitter in his prime essentially. Sandy's not gonna give up much tho most likely. And Milwaukee and Oakland would want prospects.... None of that is likely, lol The built for now teams may make a splash....Does Sandy even wanna give up Niese anymore? Can he get something for Colon? We're gonna find out soon enough I guess
I know. And I want him back. Now I didn't like him then, not sure I like him now, lol. But he's developed into a great player and he brings a lot of energy...cocky sonovagun
One great FA signing of Sandy was Marlon Byrd. I was hoping they'd keep him and re-sign him but he got decent return from the Pirates. The Reds are well under .500 and might be willing to deal him away. He's on an 8 mil per season contract for 2015 and a club option for '16. I think he's cooled off and was hot earlier in the season. But definitely an upgrade over what they have now.
