I am not sure. The Penguins now have 3 Top talents in Crosby, Malkin and Kessel. Not sure about the rest of the team. Kessel was a headcase in Toronto right? Still, he scored a lot. Put him on Crosby's line and hope he just buys in. They should score some goals. Fleury is a good goalie too. Defense looks weak, but you never know. Things could all click, they become a Cup favorite team, or things could go south and they barely do anything like this season.
I'm a Leafs fan (sort of, haven't watched them since they blew that Bruins game and got knocked out of the playoffs) so I'm happy in the sense that he's gone and his issues with the team, I'm just not sure the compensation we got in return is worth it for us. But I think it's a good pickup for the Penguins. The issue with Kessel here is he was obviously the best star talent we had so he got blamed for a lot, he'll be more of a high value contributor in Pittsburgh and it will mostly be praise instead of him getting freaked out on by the fans/media.
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord Lot of "wow" factor in this one. Lou Lamoriello steps down as Devils president to become Maple Leafs GM and to work with Shanny again.
Resident Leafs Fan: I don't hate it but I think it's weird they sign a coach for 8 years and then bring in a GM who likely isn't going to be working too much longer. Although Lou might have more longevity than most so I could be wrong.
