forgive my lack of football knowledge. But Simms seemed to be a much more promising prospect... Why did the previous administrstion give scrawny McElroy a shot in the regular season and not Simms?
McElroy was better, Simms was raw and was nowhere ready to see the field. But all this means nothing now.
Because he was established here earlier as the backup. He started in the preseason, he was higher on the depth chart, he was the next man up. There really was no reason to go with Simms instead.
McElroy had a good college career. Simms did not. At the time McElroy was way ahead of Simms in experience. McElroy was also very bright. It was time to see what he had. Simms was a true developmental prospect McElroy was hardly scrawny either. There's millions of posers that look the part and don't have a clue. See Vernon Gholston
Because Rex was an idiot who had no clue how an offense works. He was a one trick pony who let O and ST go to to pot. That is why he got exiled to Buffalo.
Because Simms stunk in college and probably stunk in practice. McElroy didn't. I cannot believe the fascination with a terrible QB like Simms still exists.
I suppose for the same reason Tyrod Taylor is being considered to start ahead of Simms in Buffalo at the moment. BC Simms sucks?
i a i c a w y b i i u w t s h c t I am in complete agreement with you buddy, it is unreal what this shit has come to.
