I read somewhere Pakistan sold the parts of that helicopter to China. They are all after our technology. Why wouldn't you think an enemy would try to remanufacturer our weapons or vehicles?

The kid in Tunisia who killed 38 people and wounded scores more-he had a Kalashnikov. They can't be imported into the US because of sanctions against the Russians. But for ones currently in the US where no profit goes to the Russians - in some places they're legal. A weapon of this type kills a lot of people fast. Those in Tunisia weren't expecting it and were on the beach-in swimming trunks, etc. On vacation. There is no reason for anyone to have one of these other than the military. Unless you want to kill people. Time to ban these kinds of weapons. You don't need them. You can go to the movies instead and watch Bruce Willis kill a bunch of people.

Do you even know what a "Kalishnikov" is?

The versions being bought and sold in America today are NOT the fully automatic used in that attack.

It is manufactured overseas to be a fully automatic rifle--however it is illegal to own the newly manufactured automatic rifle--has been since the 1980s. Those models still around since the 1980s are legal to be owned but must be registered and inspected periodically and are typically owned by law abiding gun enthusiasts.

The AK-47 being sold in the states over the past 30 years has been modified so as NOT to be fully automatic and has been made so as to make it difficult to modify to fully automatic.

Besides--half the AK-47's sold in the US are manufactured in China and Europe so those sanctions aren't keeping the legal version of the rifle out of the country. It just stopped the importation of the classic AK-47.

It's as if people hear a scary word and it makes them stupider.

I think you're wrong. You can get them and they can get off many rounds per minute. I'm against them ok. If you don't like it tough.

You're wrong. Fully automatic AK-47s are highly illegal to buy, sell or own except under the very limited and the most stringent guidelines.

You can't go into a gun store or flea market or gun show and plunk down $1000 and buy a fully automatic AK-47 or ANY fully automatic weapon anywhere in the United States.

Just because you are ignorant doesn't mean you should post on TGG showing everyone what a dumb fuck you are.

You don't even understand what you are against that's how stupid you sound.

I guess you're against RPGs too because you've seen them in movies and you assume you can buy them at a flea market.

Are you confusing an AR 15 with an AK 47?

You can still own them-even the fully automatic version of them. They are around. And the semi-s: 40 rpm. What do you need that for? As far as ignorant. Again if people disagree with you the name calling starts.

Yes, there are a very limited number of the original fully automatic versions still in America but they are all registered and highly monitored. They are owned by gun enthusiasts not gang bangers.

They haven been available for SALE in the United States since 1986.

You cannot buy them today. They have not been imported into the U.S. since 1986. My uncle owns an original Kalishnikov and has it inspected every year.

Do some research so you don't sound like a dumb fuck and then I won't have to call you a dumb fuck.

It's not that I disagree with you-I am a gun owner and I believe in gun control.

You're just being a dumb fuck about it throwing out "scary" words because you think people won't see past your bullshit.

He is confusing really scary words to try and hide the fact that he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Both the AR-15 and AK-47 available in the US are semi-automatic. He refuses to accept this.

Just like dozens of other obvious things he refuses to accept.

A lot of people not just me are against assault weapons. Even with a semi-AK-47. 40 rpm. It's too much. No need for it. Kind of scary these people who go ballistic over their guns.

After re-reading my post the fully auto AK-47s are like Stokes says not readily available. And I might have indicated that. Not trying to mislead anyone. The one like the kid had in Tunisia is mostly illegal here. But the semi in my opinion is still too much. Again my opinion.

    Who is going ballistic.

You attributed the use of a fully automatic AK-47 available widely overseas to the modified NOT fully automatic model available in the states.

Be against something, don't make stupid analogies because it hurts your argument and makes you look dumber than you try to be.

Do you see what literally 30 seconds of research can do?

Be against the guns you're against, not the ones you imagine.

It's a complicated subject. A lot of laws, how they are enforced and not enforced, background checks, different jurisdictions, etc. I'm not against owning a gun. It's your right. I don't own one myself and never will unless my next door neighbors are the Hells Angels. I'm not 100 % sure about the availability of automatic weapons but it looks like they are banned (for the most part). Which is a good thing. Your behavior as usual. Kind of brutal. It's ok with me because I don't care what you say. I basically try to avoid you.

Avoid me all you want but if you continue to post ignorant shit, I'll point it out.

Automatic weapons are highly illegal, controlled and can NOT be bought easily.

No one is walking into a flea market and buying a Tommy Gun.

Just be smarter about things you are opposed to.

    Try not to confuse yourself.

I guess you appointed yourself the negative ombudsman of the board. Mocking people etc. I see it all the time. It's pretty much your standard mode of operation. Not interested in your mental health issues. So knock yourself out. But on this specific issue I was wrong. I did do some research on it before I posted it. But not enough. Still against all assault style weapons. You don't have to be a gun lover to have opinions on it.

    Lol ombudsman.

Don't post stupid shit unless it's a silliness thread.

If you are trying to make a serious point, try not to be a dumbfuck and waste all our time with idiocy.

You seem to get a charge out of trolling the board with stupid shit.

That's fine. Don't whine when you get called on it.
