If he does sue, why would Brady's case be a civil suit and and not through a US District Judge like Peterson's case last year? I'm asking because I don't know.

"Last November, Goodell suspended the Minnesota Vikings running back after he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from excessive child discipline. Peterson then appealed the suspension under Article 46 of the CBA, but NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson sustained the suspension in an arbitration award. In January, the NFLPA (on behalf of Peterson) petitioned U.S. District Judge David Doty to vacate Henderson’s award. In February, Judge Doty vacated the suspension and ordered the NFL to reinstate Peterson."

There are 2 types of court proceedings.

Criminal cases and civil cases (not counting administrative proceedings).

This is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.

Whether it goes to state court or federal court is irrelevant. The standards for determining liability or no liability in this, a civil case, are different than determining guilt or innocence in a criminal case.

OJ was found "not guilty" in his criminal case, meaning he didn't lose his liberty and go to prison. In his civil case he was found liable for the deaths of 2 people and made to pay recompense. A lot of it.

Brady will not be in front of a criminal court, will never be incarcerated.

But his case will be heard in front of a civil court and he could be found liable for the actions he was accused of. He's trying to get those accusations expunged in a civil action. If he loses, he doesn't got to prison but the NFL's punishment will stand.

Brady's charm at it again....Per Rotoworld...

"ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Tom Brady was his own "greatest ally" in Tuesday's appeal hearing and gave an "A+ performance."

Per Schefter, Brady "offered explanations in all areas." Brady was present for the entirety of the marathon 10-11 hour session, and appears to have spent a good deal of time on the hot seat. It's unknown when commissioner Roger Goodell will reach a decision. It's extremely unlikely to come before the end of June.:

You just know Brady will get his suspension thrown out and Goodell will probably throw in a 2nd round pick in next year's draft as an apology.

There needs to be an add on for challenging the judgement. 2 more games added on for dragging this shit out. 6 games suspended AND he loses his Uggs contract.

Schefter's a little weasel. Could we get him suspended?

I doubt Roger will fall for his charm (because he doesn't have any). If Brady has no reasonable excuses or answers to questions Wells asked (in his report) then I can't see this getting him anywhere. If he did have more information that's another story. But to me this is all about legal technicalities and looking for loopholes. Brady hired the best lawyers available, guys who are experts at picking apart everything. They can get this to drag on for a long time if they want to. They are still challenging the science and of course bringing in their own experts to knock down the evidence. Look. there was no way the NFL wanted this to happen. Esp. just before the Super Bowl and with the team that won it. Millions of dollars of bad pub. So for NEP fans who are even more irrational than some Jets fans who want to suspend the guy for life. Nobody is trying to pick on you. You made your own bed again, now sleep in it and take your punishment like men.

I just hope if he overturns anything he releases the "new" info to the public. If he destroys it because it's not important like in spygate the Pats bias at head office will be undeniable, even more so.

Good to see they had to change the rules for other teams to compete, right bud? At least JH can understand now...except that he's still practicing that play...

It was an illegal formation nerd. The official never even calls a receiver eligible. Just another success by B*ll to exploit the integrity of the game. Only fraud champions ****

Your legend* requested equipment personnel to let air out of game balls, after the game balls were inspected by officials; because he can't grip a professional football. Br*dy later paid the equipment personnel for their service. Heck, you even admitted Br*dy was guilty. Nice to see you back to your old patriotways

    From Rotoworld,

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Tom Brady "simply reiterated his denial" regarding involvement in or knowledge of deflating footballs during Tuesday's appeal with commissioner Roger Goodell, and "the answers were regarded by some in the room as not entirely credible."

Reports following Brady's meeting with Goodell indicated Tom Terrific gave an "A+ performance," but it seems league officials disagree. Brady reportedly attacked the Wells Report and stated he "didn't do anything wrong." PFT's Mike Florio -- a former attorney -- believes it is "unlikely" that Goodell will "fully exonerate" Brady, and may opt to uphold his four-game suspension.

I hope Goodell upholds the 4 games, Brady goes to court to overturn the suspension, he's forced to testify under oath, perjures himself when the ball boy/attendants testify under oath that Brady knew all along and Brady goes to jail.

    The piece of shit.
