not one piece of actual evidence? lmao, how do you see with those blinders on? and sorry but the benefit of the doubt on systematic efforts to cheat sort of go out the window, when there is a clear history of systematic cheating within the organization. how much benefit of the doubt would u give a convicted felon, being charged with that same felony again, while they refuse to cooperate? not much i'll bet. Tahmm Br*dy deserved way more than he actually got, and yet his arrogance continues by fighting this light punishment. public eye, he is already very tarnished regardless of these farce appeals (which are only image damage control attempts).
Goddell needs to call Br*dy's bluff. let them take it to court. we'll see how far he's willing to protect his image once under oath. with perjury ramifications on the line, i'll bet Br*dy would quickly withdraw the case.
Not to mention his "ENTIRE" cell phone records on the matter be presented by court order and eventually becoming public knowledge. If he didn't want to hand over his phone but wants his named cleared this badly something incriminating is on there.
Not to mention when he took those balls into the bathroom he wasn't supposed to have them in the first place is what In thought. Wasn't there something about the ref saying he could never remember the balls going missing right before the game like that. They usually brought them right from the refs locker room to the field themselves. I could be mistaken on this but thought that was what I heard.
and the possibility of subpoena on the ball boys. will their buyout money be enough to lie under oath? that's a lot to ask of them. i don't see how this case could be judged w/o their testimony, and without the explanation behind those texts.
That is essentially the NFL's case. The balls boys made it pretty obvious they cheated and T*m made little effort to prove his innocence.
agreed. i don't see how they'd have a leg to stand on in court. even if Br*dy does not testify (not sure if he can be compelled in this type of suit), the phone records and the ball boys testimony would almost have to be made available. my guess is they try some serious legal maneuvering to avoid all of the above. once they lose on blocking any of those things, the case will be withdrawn, and some PR speech about eliminating the distraction will be given as reason for the bow out. Goddell needs to hold serve here, and let it go to the next level if Br*dy chooses.
Some legal analyst on Lupica show suggested they will be arguing against NFL investigation process, trying to avoid talking about the merit. On other words, looking for a loophole.
"Why Tom Brady may have a strong case for a lawsuit against the NFL" http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015...have-strong-case-for-lawsuit-against-nfl.html
Not saying I agree with the article, but it is a different perspective. Anything can happen in a court of law. Ask OJ.
