please don't hijack another thread with this shit.

Cops don't need people to be armed to pull guns on them. If people are threatening them and not complying with orders, they do what they need to do!

Teach your kids to respect authority.

What is the most fucked up to me is that he came in and joined their prayer circle for awhile before he shot them. I'm imagining a small weekly gathering of parishioners at a church that happens to be black historically and a stranger comes in. A weird and awkward looking white kid that had not been there before. Still they accepted him into their prayer circle with open arms and the fucking scumbag shoots them down. Thats just heinous.

    Yes, actually I do.

I would think the cop would have enough training to use either a nightstick, or if even things got heavier a taser to control the situation.

If that cop feared his life that much to pull out a gun with a bunch of unarmed black kids around, then well he shouldn't be a cop to begin with.

Didn't a white mother SLAP the black teen and start the fight in the first place?

I ain't hijacking shit, I am simply giving out my opinion on how cops interact differently in regards to Race.

Whatever dude. You can put me on ignore then, I'm not going to post 10000 messages on this thread like other posters do. I am just making a point and my point was already done with. I am done talking about it.

Sarcasm eh? No, it was more like the mocking tenor contained in all too many of your posts. Look that up Dirtqueen.

    back on-topic:
Police said Roof, 21, was arrested in a traffic stop about 250 miles north of Charleston. A citizen saw the suspect's car and reported it to police, who responded and made the arrest, police said. Roof cooperated with the officer who stopped him, according to police.

Roof's childhood friend, Joey Meek, alerted the FBI to his identity after recognizing him in a surveillance camera image that was widely circulated said Meek's mother, Kimberly Kozny. Roof had worn the same sweatshirt while playing Xbox videogames in their home recently.
"I don't know what was going through his head," Kozny said. "He was a really sweet kid. He was quiet. He only had a few friends."

Roof had been to jail: State court records show a pending felony drug case against him, and a past misdemeanor trespassing charge.

Roof displayed a Confederate flag on his license plate, Kozny said, and in a photo on his Facebook page, he wears a jacket with stitched-on flag patches from two other defeated white-ruled regimes: Rhodesia and apartheid-era South Africa.

Yes and I'm guessing this is a fairly intelligent group of people who would have been there and could sense this kid needed help probably hoping they could assist him and help him find the way.

There's always been workplace killings, etc. but it seems like this is happening every day. Is it just more publicity or are there more of these killings. There are serious mental health issues here. I don't honestly know if social media fuels this but it seems like it doesn't help it. As for gun control. I don't buy the NRA's mantra that if there are more guns there will be less violence. And that law abiding citizens will be able to defend themselves against violent perpetrators. They want basically no gun control at all. You can go anywhere you want including a Jets game with a gun. Could you imagine how wild that would be. On the other hand in Charleston if someone in the congregation had a gun could they have taken this guy out before he killed the nine people.

How come this mass murder shit doesn't happen regularly in European countries?

We have one really fucked up country here, and in the South we have the biggest bigots and ignorant fucks who still think the Civil War is raging on.

My thoughts on gun control are another story...rifles/military graded guns being sold to normal civilian like candy. I will never understand.

Kid's face definitely reminds me of Adam Lanza. We can argue gun control til we're blue in the face. we've been arguing about it non-stop in my town for 2.5 years now. The real problem is identifying and helping ( or locking up forever) the mentally disturbed people who commit this crimes. The parent's of these kids have to know their kid is a loon. Adam Lanza's mother knew damn well what a loon he was and she supplied him with assault weapons because that's the only way she could have a relationship with him. The menatal health care in this country is a disaster

OK you have a right to bear arms but it doesn't say anything about machine guns and assault rifles in the Constitution.

Really? Mass murders like this happen all the time in Europe? The only big one and it was fucking big was the looney tune in Norway.

I live in Taiwan, recently named 2nd safest country in the world and guess what? Guns are outlawed, Japan another insanely safe nation and no guns. South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, China (with 1 billion fucking people) and none of these nations have gun violence like the US. I don't know if outlawing guns is the answer or even possible but certainly there should be ways to make it more difficult for people who could pose a threat to get them.

Dude, they don't go around shooting up movie theaters, schools, churches, landmarks killing dozens and dozens of people.

We saw ISIS attacks and bombs sure, but civilians with mental fuckery don't go around mass killing like this. It starts with the governance and moves on down.

Lets make it simpler...Why doesn't this type of shit happen in CANADA? you know the country no one really cares about sitting on top of our heads
