    Buying him out would save 3 million next year but cost us 1.5 for the next 2 years. While the 3M replacement would probably be better than Boyle at 4.5 the 1.5 the following year for nobody would suck. So it's a lose-lose situation regardless.

    Its hard to gauge where this team is right now. Are they one or two players away or is there serious rebuilding to be done?

    @DarrenDreger: Cam Talbot is a hot commodity. Edmtn, Cgy, SJ, Dallas + Florida have expressed interest. Multiple trade offers. First 3 most likely targets.

    We need a player in return, not a draft pick

    I believe we need a scoring wing (30 goal scorer), a bruising huge wing (Lucic like) and a monster big bad ass dman (Mcilrath if he didn't disappoint)

    we need a CENTER...how many fuckin times do we need to go over this? A physical D man would be great but Id rather one that can move the puck out of our zone quickly and effectively....if he is a combo of both, then Id be a happy man

    I know no one wants to get too deep in this convo but you don't believe that.......we need someone who can win a face off, we need a tough d man...we need mobility on D, we need a PP QB.......you cant just say " finisher"....oh and we need a landing spot for Carl Hagelin

    no doubt, but likewise you can make a list of missing things on the Blackhawks team. We have what we need to win a cup minus the finishing. Of course we have weaknesses like faceoffs, but they are all manageable except for scoring when it counts

    I'm sure they're targeting Yakupov first and foremost. Try to add Klein to get the #33 pick as well.

    Darren Dreger
    @DarrenDreger

    Talbot trade watch continues. Expect he gets traded this week. Buf, Edmtn, SJ and Dallas in the mix. Great contract requires high return.
