I'm betting Lorenzo Mauldin shows the energy we've been lacking at OLB for the past few seasons.

Leonard Williams' hairdo to get it's own TV series.

Could be, the Vikings had a very good linebacker names Henderson recently.

Yea EJ Henderson was a good player for the Vikings (2nd round pick), racked up a lot of tackles and made the Pro Bowl in his final year playing (2011)

Erin Henderson has been a JAG pretty much his whole career, UDFA in 2008 and had a decent year for a JAG in 2013 before he got in trouble

Offense, I'm going with Jace Amaro.

    Defense, I say Marcus Gilchrist.

    lol nah but seriously...

Offense: Jace Amaro - between the spread scheme and the other WR's demanding attention on both sides of the field Jace should see alot of mismatches on LB's and strong safeties.
Defense: Demario Davis - It's time he takes control of the middle of the field. He's going to have a huggge assignment in the pass game most likely.. pressured passes and tip passes could fall right in his lap.

  10. Offense: Jace Amaro- Love him at the Z in Gailey's scheme. Similar to the spread he was in at TTU when he caught over 100 balls in a season. He was in need of alittle refining last season..below average blocker & occasional dropsies. According to Bowles he is also the starting H-back. Very interesting role for Mr. Amaro. He certainly has the tight space movement you look for in an H-back w/ great height to boot.My only question is..have we ever seen a Chan Gailey offense USE an H-back??

Defense: Dee Milliner-I think he eventually replaces Cro as starter..may even happen before the start of the season.Dee just needs to stay healthy & gain some consistency. Cro sticks around in a gadget role(depending on formation/match-up)Which might make Antonio Allen expendable as he TOO is a gadget player.

He had a good 3 year run where he wasn't a JAG. He obviously hasn't had his head in the game.

BTW reading his story, if he were to return to form, he would absolutely be in mention for that award. He has done a lot to get back on his feet and that would deserve recognition.

He returns to form, he's a good linebacker and prob the 2nd / 3rd best one on the team.

I'm going with someone that hasn't been named yet and rightfully so. Not a popular guy on this team but my pick is.....Cumberland

I have a feeling that Buster Skrine will be a surprise, but in a bad way. This board always looks for a scapegoat and if I had to guess who it will be on defense this year, it'd be him. I think a lot of people are under the impression that just because we spent a lot of money on the secondary, it's automatically going to be amazing. However, Skrine had a ridiculous amount of penalties last year and isn't exactly shutdown in coverage (at least for the money we paid him). Any defense that features Revis on the outside is going to be heavily targeted in the slot, so Skrine really has his work cut out for him. He could fall out of favor here really quickly if he's not careful.

After the last few years, I would say that there is room for plenty of GOOD surprises. from the Head coach down to the water boy.

Coples! So much talk about the gangsta D Line, but I think Bowles will create schemes that fits Coples' strengths, which isn't jamming the opposing teams #1 WR.

Honorable mention: Trevor Riley and Marcus Williams.
