Height is becoming less important the smaller the world gets with technology. But to this day, a tall man walks into a meeting, even if he's a complete dolt, and he immediately draws some primal sort of respect. Until I bring him down with my superior intellect and rapier wit. _
No sir, totally legit. Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, class of '96. Although, since it is Bachelor of Science, I guess you could argue that my degree is B.S.
Don't say that...Junc has dined with Roy Williams to discuss topics of program ethics and he even taught Dean Smith the fundamentals of the pick and roll in the college game back in the late 70's. He is a big reason for UNC's great success today. I can't recall the complete story, but he was there in the living room trying to recruit Michael Jordan back in the early 80's. Junc is credited and you are not, so deal with it because he only deals with those that have high aptitudes
Vodka and Cranberry, actually. My wife came home that night and found me drunk on the couch, clutching my diploma, and sobbing tears of joy. She took the photo.
That's a great pic with even a better story. Maybe when it's all said and done...when our great grandchildren are on this site and junc, along with the rest of us are long gone, this thread will be one they come to visit of memories past. Brook and JS's beautiful grandchildren. Hacks roots recognizing that the rumors of their great grand dad's liver failure may have been true. Brooks roots finally putting to rest where he was during a future bombing. Finally juncs offspring confirming the white suit with all the buckles was his after all....and there was no truth in what their parents had told them....that great grandpa junc was an escape artist.
That's funny because he's never met Roy, never met Dean but defends them like they are his Uncles. On the other hand, I had dinner with Matt Doherty before the Jets-Falcons game down in Atlanta 2 years ago and even though he bleeds Carolina baby blue, he was not a fan of Roy and thought that Dean did him wrong and had him thrown under the bus. Told him one thing when he hired him and immediately changed his tune and controlled everything once he got on the job, then tossed him aside like garbage when Roy became available. _
Not really. Other than Doherty and Carlesimo (and an awesome BC story) I've only met Syracuse players and coaches. I just don't suffer fools easily. _
It's interesting and telling how everyone refers to Junc in the past tense, and how naturally it comes out.
God. If only we had the college basketball you guys do on the east coast. (Sighs) Well, Altman is doing good things in Eugene and Gonzaga is a solid program.
This is the greatest trolling thread in TGG history because you know he is lurking. And taking notes. And drafting is next Opus "I Must Respond Part Deux". _
god, if there is anything less interesting than short white guys bragging about college basketball, please don't expose me to it.
