To date the church in the United States alone has paid out over two and a half billion dollars in settlements to those who were abused. The total would be higher but for a dozen or more dioceses declaring bankruptcy to avoid making rightful payments to the victims of roman catholicism's finest. But that, no doubt, is just a test of one's faith and an exercise of their free will.

Honestly the church should allow married Priests. eliminating that outdated rule would open the pool considerably for priests.
