I wouldn't expect Spikes to make himself available to the police until all substances, illegal or otherwise, are out of his system. Then he will claim he thought it was a deer but must have been the other car. He walked away since he was dazed from the accident and the concussion made him sleepy, he checked into a motel and just woke up 24 hours later. He'll lose his license and maybe a fine. He may get a few game suspension for this and he'll get signed again down the road.
