Bolts have to come out of the defensive shell and open it up and put pressure on the overworked Hawk top 4 defensemen
Hawks are the new version of the old red wings, they can play any type of game and find a way to win, in my opinion, if the bolts open it up, they will get blown out of the water even faster. The Hawks have 3 all world players, their secondary players are very good, they have awesome defenseman in Seabrook, Oduya, Keith. These type of teams are not built very often, where all the players fit their roles perfectly and produce within those roles. Regarding the defense, I don't think those guys are anymore tired than Victor Hedman, he seems to never be off the ice. I could be wrong about Tampa, it seems they just don't have the horses to keep up with the Hawks. I hope the games stay close, I enjoyed Wednesday's game very much.
Nashville had 3 goal leads in two games against the Hawks; lost both games. Ducks controlled the majority of the games in the series, had a 3-2 lead. Lost. Lightning pitching a shut out for most if the game; two goals in two minutes. You can't let this team hang around but nobody has been able to put them away. It's fun to watch. The only storyline that would have been more enjoyable would be if they could have faced the Kings again.
That is why I picked the Hawks to win the Cup. The Kings weren't in there way, and they just find a way to win. Of course I didn't expect it all to unfold as it has though.
I believe the Hawks are the better team, but then again I thought the Rangers were better than the Bolts, I think everyone underestimates them, they've shown they can play multiple styles
The Rangers were better than the Bolts. I don't know what happened Game 5 and Game 7. Hard to explain how the Rangers just did not do anything those games. As for who is better right now? I am not sure. The Blackhawks have a lot of injuries, Crawford has not been great, but they just find a way to win. However, the Bolts do too. I still think Chicago finds a way. Game 3 should be fun tonight.
Only got to see the third period by the time I got home, but the Hawks controlled most of it and still gave up two goals in the period to lose. That's why I love this sport. it only takes one mistake no matter how well you are playing or controlling the action, which is why every moment is dire, especially in the playoffs.
Last night was another good example, Hawks were steamrollering them, Bishop is dinged up and they still found a way to win, Hawks have their hands full
There were rumors that Bishop had the shits but I guess that's not the problem. Very unusual how secretive they are about this injury given how sports have changed in that you generally have to disclose everything. Great series thus far, the Lightning are amazing in their quick striking offense (no pun intended) and I really don't get how the Hawks only play 4 defense men. It's unheard of I feel like even if you want to keep the rotation tight you need to throw the other pairing out there every once in a while.
Here is why the Lightning have a 2-1 series lead in the Stanley Cup Finals: Last night was their 8th Road Playoff win this season. And get this: their 4th straight road playoff win. The last game they lost on the road was Game 1 of the ECF at MSG. They won Game 2, Game 5, and Game 7, plus last night's Game 3 in Chicago. Crazy. Imagine if this team could actually play well on home ice? Haha.
The same thing happened last night. The Lightning just couldn't get that second goal to go in. I expect the Blackhawks will end the series tomorrow.
