The only thing is Poe his value will never be higher than it is right now after playing so many games this season

Talbot, as it turned out didn't save us at all how do I figure? Even if Talbot was meh and went .500 , we woul dhave atill made the playoffs...maybe an 8 seed? who cares? home ice payed exactly ZERO dividend to us this year any way......you HAVE to trade Talbot now since his value is high in order to fill another hole. Is Hagelin a RFA? I have no idea how the rule works...what would we get if someone signed him?

Alot of goaltenders are available so value wont be right...the team Edmonton keeps coming up though.

Hagelin will turn 27 in August, and has been a mainstay since coming up in the middle of the 2011-12 season after four years at the University of Michigan. He is coming off his two-year bridge deal that paid him a total of $4.5 million.

Not sure if we get anything if someone else signs him, might be because we signed him to a bridge deal.

    And lol at this...

I cant say that Ive seen nugent-Hopkins play but wasn't he the number 1 pick a few years ago? Hard to imagine us landing him but packaginf hgelin and Talbot for a number 1 center would be outrageous.......and an absolute no brainer

Talbot and your pick of JT or Hags

Who among us has been ranting and raving that this team does not have a first line center?!?!?

    LOVE this move.

Veddy interesting but would Edmonton dare deal Nugent-Hopkins to the Rangers or do they instead look to e.g. grab the Hurricanes' #2 Anton Khudobin on the cheap as a stop gap while they continue to put together other roster pieces?

Late to the party, just now catching up. The Callahan-MSL deal was a horrible trade for us not Tampa. Sure they are overpaying and we would have been morons to pay Callahan that much money but that's not the issue. The draft picks are and were the problem. We got MSL for a little over 1 season and a 2nd round pick while they get Callahan and 2 1sts? While MSL may have helped us win the ECF last year we didn't win the cup and he arguably did more damage this year than good. Moving Callahan was good and even if we did the same player for player knowing that MSL had only 1 more year in him fine. The 2 1st round picks are the reason we lost the trade.

IMO, I think the stickler in the Cally deal was a behind the scenes factor.

The fact that they were that close with just little difference makes me think there was some dick sizing going on...

Very good. I think the Rangers will be right back here next year. Gotta wait a whole freggin year though.

This loss sucks, Rangers should have made it to the finals but nobody stepped up. The coaching wasn't good enough and the players didn't play well enough. MSL should have been off the power play a long time ago and guys should have been crashing the net. The passing in game 7 was bad, way too much and not crisp.

There was a fraction of hesitation before each pass, you can't have that. It's got to be instinctual you can't think like that on every play. This team overthinks way too much. Nash is basically useless, he's only good for winning President's trophies which are completely useless because you just need to MAKE it to the playoffs and then have guys step up.

Feel bad for Hank but in all fairness if he shows up in Game 3 the Rangers don't ever go to a game 7.

The forwards are so inconsistent. Guys like Kreider, Stepan, Brass will have a monster game but then go AWOL for the next week. Yandle & Hayes crumbled under pressure but Hayes will be better after the experience. Not sure what to think about Yandle. AV needs to do some serious soul searching. He is Mr. Consistency and Stay-the-Course but that is NOT good enough to win a Stanley Cup. Cooper outcoached him by simply telling the team they needed to have an identity transplant to beat the Rangers.

Who would have thought the highest flying team in the NHL could clamp down on Defense? That was the difference, Cooper wins.

    Bolt series;

    1. Outcoached- inexcusable
    2. Outplayed, especially at home- disgraceful
    3. Outefforted- inexcusable
    4. No urgency- inexcusable
    78. Injuries (no Excuse)

I was sitting in the Rangers shoot twice corner and was watching miller mailing it in getting to a puck behind the net. He didn't get the puck, and Tampa eventually got possession took it up ice and scored the second goal. Even that one little lack of hustle could have been the difference in cup or no cup.

In fairness to Miller this was a team wide disease

He's getting moved for sure, it's just a matter of when. Probably earlier is better because he's cost controlled for a full season but then again teams who realize they have swiss cheese in nets 2 months in will be knocking on the door like crazy

Edmonton is in DESPERATE need of Goaltending. I have a feeling Talbot goes there.
