I'm rooting for him. For all intent and purposes this is his last big race as I think they've already sold the stud rights for millions. American Pharoah! Just win baby!
I don't believe he will do it, most of the short comings for the triple crown favorites is the length of the last race, they can't train for that kind of stamina in such a short period of time. I would like to see it happen.
If there is reincarnation i hope i cone back as a thoroughbred. 3 years old and put out to stud. What a life
The field is small so that's a plus but there is a reason that no one has done it in almost 40 years,,,just so damn hard o do,,,,the instance is ridiculous,,,,I m pulling for him but I like Fosted. A lot
Part of the issue is you have horses that won't have run in the other 2 races and are prepared just to run the Belmont. It's a serious handicap but when millions are at stake can't say I blame the owners of those other horses.
anyone who does well betting want to offer their picks/advice for this race? I am the kiss of death. Every horse/every combination of horses I have bet on at numerous tracks from Belmont to Bob's Backyard since the 1980s have been LOSERS. If ya'll want to see Pharoah lose I can bet on him for ya!
I'm playing the exacta with American Pharoah to win with all, which means any horse can come in 2nd as long as AP wins...if its 8 horses like the Preakness it costs $16 and net return would be around $150 if a longer shot comes in 2nd. I tried it a few years ago but Barbaro broke his leg...
If he wins your golden, it's only $16 is the way I look at it...right now there's 10 horses entered, but 2 will probably scratch
that's stupid. there will be more crown winners and he very well could be the one that breaks through
Exactly, I never thought I'd see a Triple Crown Winner in baseball and then Miguel Cabrera did it, it's not supposed to be an easy thing to do but it's pretty dam awesome to think it finally did happen in my lifetime.
Dortmund was blocking the 2nd horse that came in at the Preakness. That's weak, rooting for any horse but Pharoah
I don't think you're going to see a triple crown this year because AP hasn't shown the speed needed, especially against a couple of fresher closers in Frammento and Frozen. Pharoah's Derby win was third slowest in the last ten years and would have been beaten by fifty of the last 65 and that's without considering the weather and the traffic, both of which were ideal for AP. Of course, you could make the case that if he had more pressure he may have run faster but the crown is a trek and my two bucks says he's not up to it and with only eight horses out there nobody's having traffic problems. Frozen wins the Belmont, Frammento to place, American Pharoah shows.
