I'm gonna bite.... let's be honest here, you have no idea what was on any of the tapes that were destroyed by the league so to say point a camera 1 time is joke. There were what 7 or 8 tapes that we know the league destroyed. Secondly when there are NFL QB's who make comments about wanting the ball deflated, Brady stated he prefers them that way and executives, and former players discussing the advantages to them you lose any argument when you say it makes no difference Thirdly post another stupid meme and you'll be a former poster on this board.... capiche?
Also these are just the two types of cheating that they have been caught for...who knows what other things they have been doing that they've been getting away with for years. I doubt that they have only done these two things and been caught both times. My bet is that they have so many things on the go that they get sloppy with one or the other and that's why they get caught. Like Al Capone getting caught for tax evasion.
All six SB's the Patriots appeared in in the Brady/Belichek era have been one score games. As Nigel Tufnel might say, there's a fine line between stupid and clever.
Such as manipulating the large garage doors at one end of foxborough to change the wind on the field and screwing with the game clock (most famously against the ravens in the AFCC game). I will however give them that fucked up formation against the Ravens this year. That was just solid coaching and the refs needed to declare receivers properly. You know, the game where BB told Harbaugh to learn the playbook, exactly one week before claiming not to know there is a rule about ball inflation.
I see the Times reported this am that the hearing will be on June 23rd and that Goodell will be the hearing officer. Don't know if that was reported here already.
There are no "garage doors" at either end of Gillette Stadium. One end is closed in and one end is open. It was Parcells who legend tells it, used to mess with ventilation at the Meadowlands to affect the wind. It was not Belichick who made a comment about Harbaugh knowing the rule book, it was Brady who said he should "Learn the Rules." I think it was this comment by Brady that started the whole chain of events over deflategate. Harbaugh called his buddy Grigson about supposed "issues" with the balls.
Touche, it was Brady. Still Belicheck is beyond cerebral there is no way he wasn't aware there was tampering rules.
Appeal hearing is tomorrow. The American Enterprise Institute issued a report last week that basically shit all over the Wells' report's methodology. The same AEI issued a report that was relied on by Tagliabue to reduce the penalties on the Saints for Bountygate. I think the union gets his time cut in half.
According to reports, it's total exoneration or court as far as Brady is concerned. I hope so. If he knows he's innocent, he needs to see it through all the way. Anything less implies guilt as far as I'm concerned.
He brought it on himself by not being upfront. If he really is innocent and was really wanting to be upfront somehow then he needs a new lawyer.
Yes some politico-economists from Massachusetts shit on the report. Almost as surprising as the Nobel winning biologist the Cheatriots referenced in their response to the punishments, whose company is minority owned by the Kraft group.
I doubt Brady would be willing to be sworn in under oath to face significant cross- examination. Sounds like Cheatriot maturbatory fantasy.
These are good points. But of course the NFL doesn't have the legal authority to make people testify under oath. But if (as rumored) Brady decides to take the NFL to court if he doesn't get his way. Then I assume the NFL could bring in witnesses and the court could issue subpoenas. Then it would get interesting. Are those guys willing to lie under oath to protect their jobs. PS didn't Kraft block having one or both of those guys interviewed for a second go-round when Wells had more questions. Wells btw will be present at the hearing.
Major difference being goodell refused to allow a third party (tagliabue) to hear that appeal. he's hearing it himself. I think he's going to want new details/evidence from the brady camp to change anything. The refusal of the pats to make the deflator available for a 2nd interview for wells and more importantly Bradys refusal to cooperate by providing digital evidence are the biggest problem so far as I can guess.
Or big Bob himself. We are all dying to hear him answer why he suspended those two attendants if they did nothing wrong.
Got a feeling he is gonna get 2 games and I am going to be pissed.. If Geno did this, they would send him back to West Virginia.
