It appears Brooklyn was drunk (once again) and misunderstood when I told him "I lost my father". True, we lost him for a few days but he showed up at a Red Cross station in Grand Rapids Michigan. No seriously, my Dad passed away peacefully at the ripe old age of 90. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. _
Still can't understand the whole "I had a relative who died, please console me even though you've never met me or my relative who died" aspect of the internet. I must be missing something.
I didn't start the thread, Vick, and never had any intention to. However, even though some of us have never met, some of us consider each other actual friends. I'm guessing you've never gotten a PM asking for advice on how to deal with personal situations, so you probably wouldn't understand. If someone I've counseled on a health issue loses that person, I might feel a bit of empathy. Strange as it may seem. I thought you were a mensa guy, it shouldn't be that hard to understand. Besides, remember what happened the last time you dumped on my dead mother? Do we really need to revisit that? _
