Look if you don't like it don't reply. You can't start every Qb but you can't say a guy sucks who had no playing time. Esp when the starters for years suck. How do you know that Simms can't play. You totally don't.
When Chrebet got his shot he played well thus earning his spot. When Simms got a chance to show something he didn't play well enough. The Jets have invested time and money into Geno, so before they sit him for an undrafted rookie free agent they will do their due diligence to get a return on their investment. In order for the Jets to give Simms "the shot" you think he should've gotten he had to play lights out.
I dont have an issue with cutting simms but for those who can't see geno is just as bad must need glasses. He had better do 180 or next yr this time we will be talking about Geno being cut.... Simms had a brain but limited physical attributes but geno is the exact opposite

Simms never got a shot. No starts and garbage time only in games. He wasn't horrible either. Plus we all heard for three years reports out of training camp that he impressed the coaching staff. Or he wouldn't have made the team. He isn't a high school Qb and didn't make the Jets because of his father. Which is a ludicrous statement. How's about a link on that one if you're so certain about that. If his father had any clout with the Jets he would have had more chances. He got almost zip. The guy is an NFL Qb with time on the active squad. So you're basically saying never play the guy. As a matter of fact kick him out of the NFL. With thinking like that no Johnny Unitas, no Romo no Chrebet.

If its between Simms & Petty....I'll take Petty. Now if Geno can get his head out his ass this season, things could work out OK.
If you think it's stupid (which it is, as is Deflategate) you can just quit and be above the insanity. I'm not the only one posting although one of the culprits. There would be no post if not for the obstinacy of some people who say don't even give the guy a chance. If the guy fails than find a new occupation. So far he hasn't. So what's your problem if the guy actually plays in a significant game.
