Move on but it's not proven that Simms sucks. But he probably does.

Same reason we traded for fitz it would've cost more and the chance other teams would get him. He's getting paid like 600k for a reason... He's a camp arm and he makes sense for the Bills given the familiarity.

Well you can have your Sanchez and your Geno. I'll take an unproven camp arm over bonafide and proven crap.

I hated Sanchez probably more than anyone and might have the same feelings about Geno after this year but I will take the 1st/2nd round guys who were both very good in college and showed promise before a unproven unworthy UDFA every time.

OK, your choice. Even though you know the results. Which you do not know about Simms. For me: I give Simms a few shots and see what he can do. You have nothing to lose. Of course if Parcells didn't do that with Tony Romo he'd have never gotten a shot.

That's an absurd insult to Tony Romo.

    Romo
    3× All-OVC (2000–2002)
3× OVC Player of the Year (2000–2002)
    All-American (2000–2002)
    Walter Payton Award (2002)
    EIU Hall of Fame
    EIU Jersey Retired

    Simms
    8 touchdowns

You keep missing the fact that he was bonafide proven crap in college and every day in practice. The guy got cut, was eligible to be signed for a full year and no one bit. The Cardinals were down to their third string QB and didn't even sign him for insurance.

He wasn't drafted, dude. He was a nobody in training camp the Boys lowest rated Qb. He would be selling insurance if somebody didn't give him a chance. Simms outplayed Mark in training camp but Rex started Sanchez.

Lmao that's the point of the comparison. Romo deserved his chance Simms didn't.

There isn't a player who doesn't deserve a chance. Who died and made you king?

Romo sat for 4 years as he developed. Had he been thrown in the fire earlier he might've busted. Simms was not ready at all he needs a ton of work.

For a guy who made the league minimum and seemed to take advantage of the few chances he was given Simms is taking a lot of hate in this thread.

Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, and Tom Brady are all very recent examples of unheralded QBs that did not win the heisman, and were drafted in late rounds (if even drafted at all) who surprised us and played much, much better than Andre Ware, Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, or anyone with the last name Detmer.

Chances are that Matt Simms will not break out and will spend a lot of time on the bench. He may end up with several NFL teams until someone gets hurt and he gets to start a few games. The fact that Rex Ryan picked him up is proof that he played well enough to earn another shot with another team which is a lot more than most of you want to give him credit for.

If you are going to close your eyes and run up to kick the football that is Geno Smith yet again despite all of the times that it has been pulled away at the last minute the least you could do is wish Matt Simms all the best.

rex will use simms inner knowledge to try and thwart the jets or once he sees his team getting blown out will insert simms as a sacrifice.
