Dude, what's your obsession with Walter Powell?

First off, he's not going to be ahead of Marshall, Decker, Kerley or Devin Smith. If he makes it as a #5 or 6 WR, that means he would have earned the spot.

I'm supremely curious as to how we handle kickoff returns.

April says its between Graham, Owusu and Hakim, I doubt we bring in nobody for the job so we can assume one of those 3 makes it unless theres a major cut elsewhere in the league.

its a bit unfortunate that Smith isn't a returner, would make this a lot easier, as is we probably need to choose the best receiver amongst that group and another from the rest(Evans, Enunwa,Posey) to round out our cast, or eat into another roster spot.

I'd say the closer we get to the season starting the clearer the picture will become. I won't say that KOR isn't important but when 4/5 kicks are 7 yards deep or even out of the endzone I have no problem with Kerley, B. Powell, Stacy, Owusu 0r whoever else returning that 1/5 kick and taking a knee the rest of the time. 1 return a game is not worthy of a spot and I'm sure they'll find someone else to take over before giving Hakim or whoever else a guaranteed active game day roster spot.

Punt returns are the major issue. Not sure how long fair catch Kerley will handle the job. Like you said Smith isn't a return man and guys like Stacy, B Powell, Ridley, and even McDougle and Williams can't either leaving the only candidates as the same guys fighting for the last WR spot. It will be fun to watch.

Agree with the op. I'm very happy with how our wide outs are looking going into the season. Hopefully Geno won't struggle as much as he did last year. Finding open receivers shouldn't be a problem at all. Our receivers were garbage last year overall. Our team has had a monster offseason and we are looking great going into the season. I can't wait til the season kicks off!! I hope everybody sleeps on us. I like being the underdog, there's not as much pressure
