I'm split on the change. A 33 yarder will still be hit a good percentage of the time except for in extreme weather conditions. But maybe now players other than the snapper holder and kicker will actually be playing during the play. I don't like the idea that more teams will be going for 2 more often.
I really like both changes. The PAT has become an afterthought. Anything to make the most automatic part of the game more interesting is okay with me.
I hate it because it removes a very rare but exciting play from the game - the fake kick on the conversion. I guess they could always change the rule again to award the two points if the offense gets it past the thirteen.
Don't you think that this increases the chances for that rare fake XP play? There is like 40 XP misses in the past 20 thousand, it's not something that you can really expect the unexpected
To go 15 yards from a placekick set? Absolutely not. If a team does that successfully, they deserve at least four points.
4 points for an 13 extra yards? How do you even rationalize that? Field goals don't even count that much
Hey that's a good point. Nerves hurt and tendons cripple I'm guessing you're not sure which one is which at this juncture
I'm pretty sure you have had too much to drink. It's okay, it happens to most people. Hopefully you won't start posting pictures of you with celebrities as an attempt to discredit me.
So you've decided to be the board wiseass. At least Byz was entertaining. You, meh, not so much. Early flight tomorrow, I'll enjoy you regaling us with more of your witticism in the am. _
Hey let us know which celebrities you are flying with, that's always a good read #FunDaysInTheCapitalOfTheGENation Enjoy your flight, I understand that nothing is personal
Well, if two yards is worth two points and it might be just a little bit tougher to get fifteen, how many do you think it should be worth? I think fifteen is out of the question.
He was entertaining, but a troll in disguise with his clever, witty humor. He went off on multiple people for no reason whatsoever, and imo this place is better without him. He decided to attack me one day out of nowhere, with no reason to do so, I told him off, and he had nothing to say except shit that was false, and couldn't be proven lol. It was kind of awesome actually, getting to shut him up with his asinine accusations. I wish that thread would have had more reaction since I exposed him for the sorry pos that he is. It's a shame too, because he actually is a knowledgeable jets fan. It's just too bad he has an extreme emotional disorder.
Not the defense, Charlie, the offense. If they've been getting two points for two yards for decades, how much should they get for a surprise fifteen yards? Or maybe just give them two if they can cross the 13 yard line. Or maybe it serves no useful purpose to mess with this. Who was complaining, anyway?
think about it for a second man.. why would a team try a fake kick from the 15 yd line in an attempt to get 2pts, when they can just line up at the 2 yd line to do that? seems like it would be a lot easier to convert on the 2pt play being 13 yds closer. yeah the fake kick on the conversion will be gone, and the fire drill outlet will essentially be futile as well.
