Too late for what? Al Davis/Pete Rozelle Part II would have been lots of fun.

Best half hour of radio in months: Mad Dog Russo screams at WEEI sports talk hosts relentlessly - just destroys every argument they try to make. (LINK)

"Accepting penalty is just a PR move".

Bullshit. The #patriotway is just a sad irony. The Patriot brand image is forever tarnished. Kraft just folded.

The only PR move is saving any 'dignity' left in that embarrassment of NFL franchise.

    Murderers, cheaters, liars #patriotway

    Guilty.

i agree with you regarding the brand image being forever tarnished.

but the Pats had no shot at winning any appeal on the team fines. they actually got off easy as neither Kraft nor Belichick were suspended, which by precedent and past offenses, they should have been.
so agreeing to it is a PR move, a move to get back in good with Goddell and other owners, and probably a move to attempt to reduce the Br*dy penalty.

if Goddell now bends on the Br*dy suspension, he'll look very weak imo.
there is no need for him to compromise on this, and no need to appease Kraft, who is now playing victim.

Nothing bc he knows the P*ts are guilty. There is no ground to stand on. Kr*fts team is guilty. The lengths that have already gone to deny the fact that the P*ts are guilty is utter shame.

    Folded like a cheat tent.

I think Kraft gave up in exchange for leniency on Brady. Oh well... I guess I'd rather have them lose the 1st round pick than uphold Brady's suspension.

My guess is that the deal involves letting Brady appeal and the league delaying the hearing.
This will allow Brady to play week 1 - a player can play while the appeal is pending.
This lets Brady start week 1 and then the league and Brady agree to a 2 game suspension which will be for weeks 2 and 3.

P*ts should have admitted some fault at the beginning and the mess they created would have been greatly reduced.

As far as PR move the P*ts made the worst decisions for their brand image from the day the wells report was released until today.

Br*dy wants to save whatever he has left he should abandon his appeal at once. He should serve his punishment than further making a mockery of his team and the NFL.

    Guilty

wow, they are absolutely killing Kraft. lmao!
90% want him to step down according to that poll.
saying they won't support the team anymore, only Br*dy until he steps down.

the bandwagon fans are jumping ship!

this would be terrrible by Goddell.
they deserve the embarrassment of losing Br*dy for opening day.
that switch in games also would give them an advantage. No Br*dy for a Jax game instead of a Pitt game, and a 2 game reduction? no way.....would be very weak by Goddell.

That's the first and only time that we've seen Kraft show a little class. But still denial and not one iota of admission. In some earlier reports I read Kraft had sitdowns with Roger and very possible he'll reduce the charges against NEP.

So the league would be saying what then exactly? Br*dy was only partially guilty? It makes no sense. Br*dy will serve is bs 4 game sentence entirely. Br*dy should suspend his appeal at once. His team just gave up on him.

    Guilty
