Not going to get into details but IMO when looking for something in that price range I would get one on sale at COSTCO or Wait for an online coupon and build something that was $800 and add the coupon. I myself have 2 HPs. My main DJ Lap is over 5 years old and still going...

Hardly dude. I used to be in charge of QC for retail assets in their Columbus division, I left the company last november. I am typing this on an HP 8440 I bought from them over a year ago. (I5, 6mb ram 320 gig hd, I paid about 250) They're legit. Plus you get none of that brand sponsored crapperware that you get when you buy from a regular retailer. Just Windows straight up. None of that annoying BS.
With the handheld market lile it is.....they don't have a choice. The days of paying hundreds for office and windows are done. Hell you can do office online for free now.
Pressed for time. So I went on Amazon and ordered a new HP stream 13 with one year office 365 (Blue) Had nice reviews. Cost me $277 with 2 year warranty. I'll let you all know how that's working out Thanks again all for your help!
I'm still on 7 on every lap/device/PC. I have everything stable...no need to move but from my understanding, 8.1 update is supposedly very good.
Just built wifey a new machine. Win8.1pro is stable and really versatile. There are options available in 8.1pro that are not available in 8.1 so be careful. I also brought wifey a 27" Dell touchscreen monitor to use with her new rig. I like it so much, mine is coming tomorrow. I'll upgrade from win7 ultimate to win 8.1pro IF I can't get the touchscreen to work. I'm really waiting on win10 but I'm not gonna put a beta OS on my main machine.
The betas always suck. Best wait till the update. Supposedly its sooooooo different they just skipped windows 9 and named it 10. Well see tho.

Yeah... What happened to it? I think it might be a good time to bring it back as this is the offseason and folks get pretty bored speculating about Wilkerson and such.
