Kraft said he welcomed Well's appointment in Feburary, now after the report and not favorable result, he recants it all like spoiled child

That entire organization is a disgrace to the NFL.

Brady and Kraft both have a lot of money and everyone knows that they can hire high powered lawyers who can poke holes into any story. There is no way you will ever have perfect evidence in a case like this esp when all of them are lying. So let them take it all the way to the Supreme Court if they want to. All they had to do in the first place was say they made a "mistake" and say they won't do it again. Minimal punishment then. But instead they've taken the low road and in addition to embarrassing the NFL during SB week they are now basically calling them the cheaters and liars. Talk about knowing how to turn the tables around. I hope the NFL doesn't back down on this. See you in the Supreme Court Brady.

I think the union is putting aside that consideration, and instead focusing on what they see as a zero sum game with Goodell. He did pretty much clean their clocks in negotiating the CBA, and they probably see anything that takes him down as if not directly affecting them to the good, at least paying him back. I kind of get a weaker commissioner might also be seen by them as to their advantage down the road.

If I were Goodell, I'd dock the Patriots another pick just for making up something as ludicrous as (paraphrase) "McNally called himself 'the Deflator' because he was trying to lose weight." Seriously, that's Exhibit 1 in Kraft having so many yesmen around him that he literally has no one around him that feels comfortable saying "Boss, that's the worst b-lls--t excuse I've ever heard. We have to come up with something else." Let me guess, when McNally said he was going to give Brady "watermellons" the next week, he was referring to the team's July 4th picnic (held in November)?

The NFL's response to Kraft should be "Wow, that's stunningly pathetic. He couldn't come up with something better than that? He's had a week."

Time for Brady to appeal passed ten minutes ago. Nothing on ESPN yet...

Never mind, NFL.com says appeal is in by Brady personally and the NFLPA.

Did Roger miscalculate the NEP response to the 4 games, 1 mil, two picks. If he had come down lighter would there have been lesser of a response. Or is this just all about not wanting to be judged guilty after you categorically said you didn't do it. Of course NEP fans have over reacted and there was that moronic front page in the Boston Herald: Why Do They Hate Us? I think that a lot of this over response by Kraft is to appease their fans. And some of this might directly be related to the Boston Marathon bombings which kind of galvanized the city.

As part of his appeal will he be forced to release the phone records he withheld? Like does he need to prove his innocence at all or just poke enough holes in the Wells report to garner some sympathy?

    Couple of points here.

The union doesn't give a rats ass about some members cheating others on the playing field so long as they are all getting paid. Their concern is Brady's wallet. As it should be.

And this has nothing to do with the Boston Marathon bombing and how that galvanized the city. That may be the stupidest thing anyone has ever posted about the subject.

If the Patriots staunchly believe in their innocence, why did they voluntarily suspend McNally and Jastremski indefinitely without pay?

There won't be any new evidence gathered unless Brady provides it voluntarily, so the only thing that might come out is self-serving BS. Instead they will poke holes in Wells Report, claim that they cooperated as best they could, and argue how unfair Brady's punishment was.

Which just goes to prove that almost everyone (including Brady) who uses the term "deflate" is talking about air pressure and tires, balls, etc. And nobody uses that word to describe weight loss.

The NEP and the union should interview a few kids in kindergarten how this football got so mushy and soft. I am sure they could come up with something better than a fat man called deflator

Quite true, he has posted some seriously stupid things on the subject but right now this has to be stupidest. Give him time though, I am sure he can top it.
