Again--you are ALLOWED to get the balls ready to your specifications. Until you hand the balls over to the refs for weigh-in. After that is a complete violation of the rules. Taking them into a bathroom to further illegally doctor them is cheating. _
Saying things like "Joe is right there just behind Brady. That's nothing to be ashamed about." and "simply the best" are done so to get a reaction. It's my opinion that Montana is the best ever, in no way is it a fact. Everyone has a different set of criteria. Mine is based on what I saw when watched him play. For me the fact that he never lost a Super Bowl is another and his postseason success in 1989/90 put him on a completely different planet than everyone else. 19TD's to 1 INT (which was thrown in the 1st of the 6 games he played) ending with the 55-10 thrashing of the Broncos. I put Elway 2nd, he was capable of doing it all on the field and he carried some of those Bronco teams to Super Bowls. He put up great numbers, he could run and yeah maybe he doesn't win a SB let alone 2 without TD but maybe Brady doesn't win without his kicker. The funny thing with Brady is this, he could be 6-0 or he could be 0-6. None of his SB wins were definitive like some of Montana's were. Think about it, the Panthers game, John Kasey kicks the ball out of bounds setting up the Pats in prime position, the Eagles game, McNabb vomits on the sidelines, The Rams game ... well we'll never know about that one. The Seahawks, run the dam ball.
so EVERY QB who ever played had specifications involving an elaborate illegal plan? WRONG Brady did though.......and this wasn't even his first instance of illegal advantages.. you are a straight up troll buddy.....making less and less sense in your desperate attempt to keep this Brady agenda alive, which makes no sense other than trolling to begin with
Those don't make him the greatest ever, did those things happen? Yes but they alone don't simply make him the best ever. That again is your opinion. BTW Elway, Manning, Montana, Favre and Aikman all did those things too.
Look, if Brady is as innocent as he says it should be easy to prove it. Since the beginning he said he didn't do it, his sister cried and said he didn't do it, his father, his agent, etc. He had ample chances with Wells. But all of the circumstantial evidence (they connected the dots) added up and showed that it was illogical for him not being involved and orchestrating the deflating of the balls. All Brady is trying to do is to play a legal game. And get out of it on technicalities. He can go in to Roger and plead his case with facts. And explain things logically if he has a real case. (they couldn't with Wells and now they're calling him a cheater). Other than that he's just trying to play games and get away with something.
The NFC was so much better than the AFC in those days that the real SB was in the NFC title game. being 4-0 is a little different than in the parity/FA era. To me 4-2 is more impressive and they were 2 defensive chokes away from being 6-0. Elway did a great job getting mediocre teams to SBs in a weak AFC but couldn't win the big one until TD became the focal point of the offense. I have him just outside my top 5. winning 4 SBs in this era, winning all those div titles, rarely going one and done in postseason, getting to title games and SBs. That is what separates it for me though Joe is right there and a great argument can be made for him too. I had Joe at #1 until this past SB watching Brady do what he did against that D in the 4th qtr trailing by 10. That cemented it for me.
There is no proof of Montana cheating, Junc is assuming he has - and at the same time he is attempting to justify Brady cheating. That's is the absolute worst way to debate. I think Belichick was involved, I completely agree. He got himself out of that situation rather easily.
. You are contradicting yourself, you say it's your opinion (in nice big bold letters too so we know there is no doubt it's YOUR opinion) but a few posts back you tell me that these are facts that make him the greatest ever. If it's your opinion stop presenting it as fact, those are factors that you have used to make your opinion as to why Brady is the greatest ever but none of make it a fact that Brady is the best ever.
He did not say that at all. He is pointing out that no attendant is going to deflate, inflate, scuff a football without the say so of the QB meaning there is no way McNally and Jastremski deflated the balls without being instructed to do so by Br*dy.
of course Brady instructed them, maybe not that day. they probably knew what to do w/o speaking at that point but every QB wants footballs a certain way.
he's NOT innocent, he lied but it is a MINOR issue what he lied about. if he just came clean initially this would have been over. His lying is why it became huge not the act itself. anyone who has any connection whatsoever to this game understands how minor of an issue it actually is.
Look we're all speculating. About everything. Including whether or not deflating footballs gave anyone a significant advantage. Belichick was cleared by Wells (and they're still complaining) but like you I think it fits a pattern of his behavior. I think many of these HOF Qbs played around with the rule book if they could get away with it. None of them are choir boys. But not sure.
Then why doesn't he tell his agent to stop the crazy accusations already. If he wants to appeal ok, but don't start saying that everybody is a cheater except Brady. This reminds me of Rex. Letting other people do your talking for you.
Joe Montana was 4-1 in the "Real Superbowl" The only loss was a result of BS penalties against Lott and Wright in 1984,
QB's like to break them in, but don't illegally tamper with them. how do you not see the difference? at least you admit this was going on for so long, that no communication was needed for the scheme orchestrated by Brady to proceed.
