Because Br*dy deflated footballs for years to gain a competitive advantage just like Armstrong took PEDs for years to gain a competitive advantage. Makes a lot of sense.

    Yes you most certainly are.

Junc always leaves himself some "out" in his rhetoric....a codicil I believe it's called.

I could give two shits about who Junc thinks is the best QB ever...

...but it pisses me off when he shits on Jet fans in toto.

    Fuck that noise.

They are both breaking the rules to gain a competitive advantage. Unless you have some special chart that can show which gives more of an advantage then they have to be looked at on an equal plane.
For Br*dy to be so secretive about it, paying off the attendants in tens of thousands of dollars worth of memorabilia and then refusing to turn over evidence to those investigating should show you how wrong he knew it was.
One thing we do know is that since the rule change went into effect, allowing Br*dy to always have control over his own footballs in the game, his interception rate has gone down, his fumble rate has gone down and the fumble rate of the entire P*ts team has gone down. Yea, I'd say his 9 years of football deflation has helped quite a bit.
No, there may not be proof he has done it for 9 years, just like any PED suspension can only prove what has been done since the last test, but the stats do tell a story, a story that some just choose to be blind to.

Please stop, there is no comparison w/ a slightly underinflated ball and PEDs.

Easier to throw, easier to catch, easier to hold onto, fewer drops, fewer fumbles, more first downs, more extended drives, more TDs, easier FGs, less time on the field for your defense---all over 1000s of plays in a season and tens of thousands of plays over the past 9 years.

One extra win is the difference between making the playoffs or not, or home games or road games, or homefield throughout the playoffs. Which means wins and SBs.

Yeah. It means a little on any individual play but when you look at the totality, it means a lot..

let's use the one extra win theory:

    rule instituted in 2007?

2007: 16-0, could have lost 3 games and still had #1 seed
2008: Brady got hurt and they missed playoffs
2009: one more loss and would have been 4 seed instead of 3 seed still hosting WC game
2010: could have lost 2 more and still been #1 seed
    2011: w/ 1 more loss still #1 seed
2012: would have been 3 seed instead of 2 seed
2013: would have remained 2 seed w/ one more loss
2014: would have been 2 seed instead of 1 seed but still hosting title game after another Peyton choke.

I get it, I believe Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time and the facts back me up. Make all the excuses you want though and ignore the cheating ways of the Niners too.

a slight deflation of a football can turn any QB into the greatest of all time!

That's just ONE more win. That's a minimum and even by those standards they would not have been in as good of a position in some of those years.

What if it meant 2 wins.

    3 wins.

    Nobody knows.

To suggest it made no difference is sophistry because he DID it for a reason.

    Illegal competitive advantage.

QBs had been using footballs slightly underinflated since the beginning of time. Minor issue similar to George Brett using too much pine tar on his bat.

Look, deflated balls is a minor, minimum advantage. If you like thinner balls. To go into an orchestrated cheating fest the way they did is over the line. But a good player can compensate for many of the variables that will confront them during a game: bad weather, an injury, poor play by their OL, receivers dropping balls, the side of the field they are assigned (sun vs shade), etc. So you don't lose your rings because of something like this. New England fan and org reaction is predictable (since their fans are liars, too).

No, I don't think you do.

You have no facts to back up Br*dy being the best because he's a cheater. Montana was better and never cheated and is UNDEFEATED IN SB APPEARANCES - oh yeah, he didn't need no stinking kicker to win those games either.

You have no proof of Montana "cheating" and Jerry Rice even though he may have used "stickum" - Montana still won w/out Rice.

Montana > Brady - not even close. That is the truth and there is nothing you can do about it.

it is and I think most people know it but since we have been dominated on the field by Brady this is a chance to finally give it back to him and Pats fans. Last I checked the balls in the SB were inflated properly and he won his 3rd SB MVP and 4th SB. Simply the best.

Sammy Sosa got caught using a corked bat. And he's just one batter. A QB handles the ball every play and so do all the players--WRs, TEs RBs.

It would be as if every batter used a corked bat every at bat for a season.

Not just one batter doing it one at bat.
