I think it is entirely fair to wonder how many of Brady's wins and championships and awards were gained by extra completions, fewer fumbles, more first downs, extended drives, more TDs, easier FGs, less time on the field for NE's defense from illegally inflating footballs. It's not an outlandish query and one that cannot be answered in the affirmative or negative with any certitude. It's that doubt that also taints his legacy. _
They won a lot of really close games over the years too. It almost defies logic until you factor in 2 major cheating scandals
Sure I can give you a lot of them. And you can counter with others. The best comment I've seen so far by a player is by Peyton Manning: he didn't really say anything or support Brady on the infraction. He just said that Brady is his friend and always will be his friend. Imo pretty classy.
Is Junc starting to backpedal? BTW Junc...I think you've made a good case for your boy Tommy...but to start a thread titled "Tom Brady is the best quarterback ever" on a NY Jets forum is just bad form. Thankfully the mods changed the title. Personally, I think they should have deleted the thread. Go to a Pats forum if you wish to declare your admiration for Brady.
Matt Leinart ✔ @MattLeinartQB Every team tampers with the footballs. Ask any Qb In the league, this is ridiculous!!
This post sums up this thread and this board, if people would just read we wouldn't have any issues. This was my quote from the first post of this thread: yep, I'm backpedaling
The NFLN guys like Willie McGinness and Michael Silver are kissing Brady's ass and are supporting his and NEP's appeals. Brady's agent is again pointing the finger at the NFL denying everything and basically calling the league corrupt. I really hope the league sticks with the current penalties but they might try to force Roger to send this to an arbiter. If this happens it again means the Commish has limited powers.
this thread was a junc troll job right from jump. then the league went ahead and completely discredited Brady, and in turn, junc's entire basis for this trolling. so now he's advancing through the 5 stages of grief. i think he's past his initial stages of denial (it never happened/Brady did nothing) followed by anger (it's the league and the Colts fault). seems now he has entered the bargaining stage, which is generally the most irrational. evidence of this can be seen in posts trying to convince others that it doesn't matter, didn't affect anything, and/or no one in the league actually cares. text book really.. i look forward to the depression stage, and ultimately acceptance, as that would hopefully lead to a decrease on inaccurate QB posting. it's tough to have your hero this publicly trashed, so the grief is understandable..
Let's see what he hid in his text messages? What else is going on in New Cheatland? Let's see.... of course a an assclown like McGinnest is going to defend him, he won a few rings because of the tainted titles. Damien Woody also ripped Brady, as did Mark Brunnell and some other guys.
What I loved about the penalties was the punishment of the org even though the report said there was no evidence of Kraft or Belichick's involvement If Brady had class he would tell his agent to stifle it and stop basically calling the league office criminals when he's the one who broke the rules. If he wants to appeal fine but stop the over the top attacks on league officials. It's really not hard to root against this guy. I hope they tell him to fuck off. But the next stop probably is court.
