Thanks. I figured he would be allowed at training camp, but I wondered if he was barred from playing in the pre-season games.
come on, the situations are nothing alike. this was a minor issue, it's like saying you couldn't root for the Jets b/c a player used stickum.
There are officially zero threads on the front page of P*tsfans.com forum that have to do with something other than Deflategate LOL Oh wait no, I just saw one that talks about the military paying the Jets to salute the troops
In addition the the 4 games pay, he also should have been fined ANY bonuses he received for winning the AFC Championship and the Superbowl. What a joke
Hence why I said there is a difference and I disagree that using stick um and deflating balls are not the same. Deflating balls absolutely messes with the integrity of the game by giving the entire offense and advantage, using stick um gives on player an advantage. I'd say the stickum argument is akin to a player using greenies.
since balls are so much easier to hang onto w/ the ball slightly deflated wouldn't that make it easier for defenders to pick balls off?
no it would be like saying you cant root for the jets because some player used stickem, then lied about it, then covered it up, then refused to cooperate with the investigation on it.... all after his team was found to be cheating a few years prior in another capactiy, then lied about it.
it also makes the balls easier to hold on too (check the pats lack of fumbles compared to the league over time) and it also helps you handle the ball in poor weather (check bradys numbers in snow and rain).

More completions, fewer fumbles, more first downs, more extended drives, more touchdowns, easier FGs, less time on the field for your defense. It's a confluence of a LOT of things that give you a competitive and illegal advantage that help you win GAMES. And when there are only 16 of them, an extra win is the difference between making the playoffs and not, and getting a home field game or multiple home field games in the playoffs. Poof. _
