agreed. the rules have changed to favor the offense so much, that all time defenses are not very likely at this point. just have to be one of the best next year. top 3 is my goal. there is more talent on the D than i have ever seen. they should match up with Seattle, and Buffalo will be in the mix. my hope is that we play a healthy Fitzpatrick..
I know the off season is the time for great optimism. But a top 3 D is realistically in reach, and yes, with a healthy Fitzpatrick we should see an acceptable O what with likely a good running game and now very acceptable receivers. As long as they don't need to play Smith the playoffs should be a possibility.
Well, we ended up being the #1 rushing offense last season in the AFC and the #3 of the NFL, our running game kept us in a lot of games, including both against the Patriots but the erratic QB play and awful secondary sank us. That's why the OP is wondering if we get some decent QB play, we can be contenders.
I'm with you in the whole "Bowles' better than Rex" but come on, as a Jets fan, how the hell you don't remember the Jets win over the Colts in their 2010 Wild Card game? http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2011010800/2010/POST18/jets@colts#menu=gameinfo&tab=recap
I remember when Fitzpatrick was on the Bills and you all called him "the worst QB in the league" and now that he plays for you, you're winning the super bowl with him. Funny how that works. Jets fans are so fucking stupid.
1. I have no idea how any of that relates to Rex. 2. The Bills are absolutely relevant. Turn on a fucking TV or listen to sports radio.
I think its clear Magic Mike knows whats he's doing him and Bowles both share a blend of being no nonsense but too too serious. Revis was necessary move, it makes us relevant so other guys like Marshall and Cromartie followed. This draft can be all time scary good we got so much value across the board. Everyone knows Leonard Williams was rated probably 1 overall and slid to #6 due to the QB position and need. Devin Smith is EXACTLY what we needed a deep threat, i don't think he is quite DeSean Jackson, but Jeremy Maclin and Torrey Smith are good comparisons. Lorenzo Mauldin is a tough kid and listening him speak u can't help but think football means the world to him, he's gonna bust his ass hopefully he can be a potential starter and get some sacks because he'll get every opportunity with who's in front him and the dbacks behind him We get some hope for the future in Petty and heck maybe if u actually sit a guy for a year 1 or 2 he can be good be 3, has all tools best arm talent in the draft I've heard loves football. Jarvis Harrison our 5th round pick has all the picks and one of the best "value" picks in the whole draft. If we can get 4-5 starters out of this draft its a success and could be the start of something great.
Kind of like how you thought Rex was a terrible coach until he became your head coach. Fucking pathetic.
Saw this from the Bills fan: "He was terrible with the Jets. Problem is, I have no idea if he sucked because he just sucks, or whether he sucked because he had a terrible head coach, with a toxic environment, locker room, and media, but is actually a good QB. Guess we'll find out" This has to make him more "fucking stupid" than the people he called "fucking stupid," no?
Dilfer was an average QB but vital to that 20 Ravens run. He was a quality QB that made big plays to help that team win. Even w/ that incredible D they would not have won the SB w/o Dilfer.
yep, which was why those great Bal Ds won so many SBs w/o him. One thing people need to realize is you don't have to throw 35-40 TDs a year to be a quality QB and help your team win.
