Eight wouldn't stick anyway. But the Pats deserved everything they got. If Brady and the team was compliant I don't think they would have gotten popped half as much. But since they decided to be defiant and not cooperate with the investigation they can suck it. That combined with their prior indescretions make this well-deserved.
The most glaring problem with this is no suspension for BB. The punishment is contradictory. If NEP is not responsible, why 1M and picks? Since they are responsible, why no time off for BB?
If your job demands information from you for a serious investigation and you say no, you are going to be hammered for it plain and simple. If Brady didn't do his stupid shit the penalty wouldn't have been nearly as bad.
If it HOLDS up (highly unlikely ), I see the Patriots winning only one of those four games. We may actually have a chance to win this divison.
I'll admit I didn't think it would have been anywhere near that harsh. I bet he appeals it down to two games.
I think it holds up, 4 games is not much at all for systematic cheating and they knew it went on for at least all of last year.
They should win the Jaguars game, but Steelers and @ Bills should be horrible for a QB who's never played before and @ Dallas would have been tough even with Brady. I wouldn't doubt a 1-3 start. Then in Indy is a hard game, then we get a shot at them then Miami is no joke. This could be a horrible start.
Payton was suspended a year for bountygate and they said he knew nothing either..it "pays" to be in NE.
I think this could have gone in the NFL thread in one of the dozen other threads on the subject. I think people that are in such a rush to be the one to post "breaking news" that they clog up the forum with unneeded threads should be banned.
Come on, Rex traditionally dominates Brady. Give him that personnel and put him against Jimmy G in his second career start? I'd be surprised if they got in the end zone.
he's beaten Brady 4 times in 13 tries, I wouldn't say he dominates him. He has held him in check at times but Brady usually still finds a way to win.
