I didn't start it, but I was trying to end it. I was telling everyone who posted on religion to go to the "BS forum" to continue the discussion there, in a thread I started for that very purpose. Then I got back to posting about Bryce Petty to try to get the discussion back on football, and on the topic of the thread. It's all there on pages 12 - 13 in the Petty thread.
One thing would be to know the forum rules, like not starting threads asking why you were banned. In the wrong forum even, if there was a correct forum for it which there is not. Next thing would be when the site owner, the Grand Poobah, The Ayatollah of Rocknrolla tells you to quit discussing religion in the thread then you stop discussing religion in the thread. I personally think you should have gotten a year ban but I am sure that will come soon enough.
What "propaganda", wondering why I got suspended? Is it "propaganda" to ask for a simple explanation of why I was suspended?
I went back and checked.....this is how it all went down, these are my posts starting on page 12 of the Bryce Petty thread that got me suspended ------ http://forums.theganggreen.com/thre...e-petty-in-round-4.84093/page-17#post-3244742 "You are right, I shouldn't do that. It's something I have to work on. BTW, if anyone is interested, I started a thread in the "BS forum" to continue the discussion on religion." "What did we trade to move up for Petty?" "I agree it's all about the Truth (hence my screen name lol). We all ultimately want the same thing, to understand the Truth of our existence and of the Universe. ..... to that end, I have started a thread in the "BS forum". Let's continue over there then. (or if you would prefer doing this privately via PM, that's fine too...just noticed you mentioned doing it offline)" "OK thanks, that's what I was hoping it would be. A fair trade." "Yeah me too, I've been on here too long and I have some things to do too. Later buddy." "Please find my thread in the "BS forum" if you want to continue this discussion, but it doesn't belong here ...... but since you brought this up, Jesus was a Jew, yes, but he changed the interpretation of Jewish law so dramatically that he had to start an altogether new religion, which we now call the Catholic Church. For example, in the Bible it documents Jesus breaking the Sabbath on numerous occasions (a big reason why the Scribes and Pharisees wanted to have him executed). The most notable example is when he cures a blind man on the Sabbath, thus doing what the Jews at the time considered to be "work" on the Sabbath, a big no no. Jesus explained in his famous teaching, straight from the Bible, that "the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath", in other words, the Law was meant to serve the best interests of people. Jesus advocated for the Spirit of the law, which is Love....he did away with all of the unnecessary rules and regulations that strict orthodox Jews practiced at the time. He also said that "I did not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it", meaning that the essence of Jewish Law, the 10 commandments, was still valid, but the Spirit of that Law was being routinely violated. ..... and Jesus did say that unless anyone eats of the flesh of the Son of Man, and drinks His blood, he shall not have life within him (meaning spiritual life). He was not talking about blood in general, he was talking about the blood He would shed on the cross. And since we cannot literally drink Jesus' blood today, or eat his flesh (and Jesus understood this), he instituted the Priesthood with Peter, whom he called "the Rock, upon whom I will build my Church". Thus Peter was the first leader of the Church, the first Pope. It's all directly from the Bible my friend." "Why can't they keep him on the active roster? Geno, Fitz, and Petty. Most teams carry 3 QB's don't they?" THEN, PAGE 14 and 15 there was NO TALK ABOUT RELIGION, it was over, and halfway through page 16 a moderator digs up my old post from 3 pages back, the one where I begin by saying "Please find my thread in the "BS forum" if you want to continue this discussion, but it doesn't belong here ...... but since you brought this up...", and he used this old post of mine, 3 pages back, to suspend me! I had successfully ended the discussion on religion only to get suspended later! Oh well, what can you do ......maybe it was just an honest mistake, who knows.
@JStokes belongs to a secret society who has big influence on Jet message boards and he used his connections to get you banned for a week. Kidding aside, dude let it go. For a religious guy, you care about yourself too much.
You're right, maybe it was just an honest mistake by the moderator on duty that day. It happens. And I don't care about myself, if I did I wouldn't have the avatar I do, and I would never talk about religion publicly. I would just keep my religion to myself, I would only care about my own happiness and salvation. That's the easy and safe thing to do in today's world. It's not easy putting myself out there for the haters to beat on like a pinata.
You got suspended for being a bitch ass. We do not tolerate bitchassness on this board. Disclaimer - I am not a mod
