    As Stokes might say...

I like to make fun of Junc but I can't call him a fake Jets fan completely. It reminds me a little of Anakin Skywalker in the beginning of Episode 3. He's turning onto the dark side more and more as he ages. Maybe it's jealously, maybe it's rage. The Sanchez era really hurt the guy.

He still is a very knowledgeable fan.

Yeah, but he's an angry old man.

A lot if his defense of Sanchez I agree with but he just went totally off the delusional deep end.

It's made him a bitter angry fan.

I've become much more relaxed in my fandom as I age.

I feel like in reality, Junc is in a shitty basement somewhere, Cheeto dust all over his fingers, mouse and keyboard. On like 6 message boards at a time just trolling away. After seeing him resort to childish insults, I'm starting to think we have a greendude 2.0 situation here lol (veteran posters know what that means. And I forget if it was greenguy or greendude). Every post of his in this thread all i see is the dude from south park in the world of Warcraft episode.

    "Our?"

Getting ahead of ourselves a little aren't we? I mean since when are you 'pathetic' and (by extension) part of the New York Jet fanbase?

Peyton is nowhere near Brady. Brady is far and away the best QB of his generation.

Manning was on better teams his entire career, Brady rescued BB and a sinking Pats franchise.

it's all summarizes in the last 2 SBs. despite MUCH more talent around him Peyton led his high powered O to 8 garbage time pts against Seattle, a year later trailing by 10 in the 4th qtr Brady led his team to a SB win and put up 28 pts on that same defense while Manning was yet again one and done and yet again lost a home playoff game.

unfortunately I am a part of this fanbase, it embarrasses me all he time but I am a part of it.

    - The New York Jets have a miserable alltime record of 377 wins, 451 losses - or 74 games under .500.
    - The New York Jets have qualified for post-season play only 14 times in 54 years.
    - The New York Jets have won "the last game of the season" only once in 54 years and that was 45 years ago.

And in spite of that, this fanbase that you call 'pathetic' and an 'embarrassment' continue to serve as an example of true, unconditional loyalty. Anyone who has ever been hurt--and Jet fans have had a long history of that--can attest to the fact that fidelity is a double edged sword. Yet at the same time Jet fans remain steadfast in possessing that most valuable of gifts: loyalty.

And as valuable as unconditional loyalty is, it can also be exceedingly rare. Take for instance your New England Patriots: here is a consecutive streak representing the New England Patriot fanbase that the New York Jet fanbase will never match: a seventeen consecutive home game blackout streak ('88-'90).

And as recently as 1990, the New England Patriots played in front of the four smallest home crowds in the entire NFL that season.

Speaking of "54 years," the New York Rangers went 54 years without a championship yet their Jet-like fanbase remained steadfast themselves in their support of the team. Bash the New York Jets fanbase all you want but I'll take an ounce worth of Jet fanbase loyalty over a pound of swelled-headed arrogance any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Here's to the New York Jets fanbase!

It wasn't the same defense, Kam Chancellor played with an MCL injury. Jeremy Lane was injured in the 1st quarter and did not return, his replacement was beaten on a TD pass, Sherman had an injured elbow, I don't remember what happened to Earl Thomas but he was also injured. Brandon Browner was also in New England. Don't think the injuries were a big deal? I remember reading that Browner told his teammates that he would have no issue with them targeting the "injured Sherman and Thomas"

I already know what your response is going to be so I'll wait with excitement as you type it up

If the Patriots didn't cheat to win Super Bowl, nyjunc would consider Brady as big a playoff choker as he does Manning

I don't agree with that, junc has always stated he thought Brady was better than Manning. He's never even come close to considering Manning and I agree with him. Manning has always been the guy who can lead you on a 70+ yard drive when you are up 3 scores but Brady has always been more clutch, Manning has shown to be spineless in many occasions.

Tom Brady is to footballs what Gaylord Perry is to first names.
