the texts mentioned balls were overinflated at times too. when the league knew is important, Indy didn't report it until a day before the title game.
they would usually notify a team like when they notified the Pats about spygate. the reason they got that punishment was b/c the league warned them not to do it again and they did it. There wasn't a warning here.
They had warned EVERY team because it was widespread and still continued. That's why the punishment was as severe as it was.
There was a warning after spygate that if they cheat again in any sense the spygate penalties willl be considered while determining the new cheating penalties..keep that in mind. This touches on it a little. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ots-based-on-goodells-post-spygate-statement/
but was this a NE issue or a Brady issue? they would have to find proof this was a conspiracy w/ the team not just the QB.
Correct to a point. That was concerning any new information regarding cameras in unauthorized locations IIRC
Did NE notify the Colts & the rest of the league they were going to be cheating and playing with under inflated balls?
No argument there. But everyone had been warned, and there was new sheriff in town (who had just flexed his muscles and suspended PacMan Jones for one year), so this implication was not going to slide by no how no way. I even thought NEP thought BB was going to get suspended, as evidenced by their sudden hiring of Dom Capers of Associate Head Coach, who would have likely taken the reigns
He told the saints when he suspended Payton for a year that ignorance was no excuse. I am sure that will apply to NE and Bellishit as well.
Conduct Detrimental!!! Year off or more...Retire you cheating scumbag "If/When the NFL suspends Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, he’ll be entitled to assistance from the NFL Players Association for an appeal. Brady previously was entitled to such assistance in connection with the investigation, but he chose not to take it. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFLPA did not represent ir advise Brady in the Wells investigation, at the request of Brady and his representatives. It’s unclear why Brady didn’t want input or help from the union. It’s also unknown whether the NFLPA would have advised him to surrender his text messages and emails. Brady’s refusal to do so amounts to failure to cooperate with the investigation, which in turn automatically becomes conduct detrimental to the league. Moving forward, the NFLPA will have no involvement until discipline, if any, if imposed. If/when discipline is imposed, the NFLPA will be ready to represent him. Brady would have appeal rights under the labor deal, following by possible legal rights in court. And he should consider taking the NFLPA up on its offer; in recent years, the union has shown via the work of Jeffrey Kessler an ability to successfully challenge multiple player punishments."
Please post the proof of your findings? They were too busy gloating over Harbaugh and the rule book, God DAMN KARMA BURGER BABY
I read it in a couple news articles, not sure if it's verified, but if it is I have no idea why this is a big deal at all. If the NFL gave a shit about letting .5 PSI out of a football after inspection they would levy a fine a little steeper than 25K. This controversy is directly at the NFL's feet, they should've fined Brady and the Patriots 25K and been done with it. Probably 90% of the NFL cycles steroids are we really that concerned about footballs underinflated by .5-1.0 psi? I get we all hate the Patriots and Tom Brady especially since he's owned our ass for the past 15 years, but this is just dumb, I'm sure every QB gets the balls exactly how they like them come game time.
