Confirmed Liar and Cheater Tom Brady* was never the greatest to begin with.

The true GOAT, not even close.

Other teams do it within the confines of the rules of the game, Brady and the Pats were caught going outside the lines for a competitive advantage meaning they cheated. When other teams get caught cheating they can be addressed at that time but right now the Pats are the only team that is an accused and proven cheater in this fashion. Very big deal or they would not have had a 243 page report from a 103 day investigation with a possible year long suspension hanging over them.

I don't like Brady. I'd love to see punishment. I'm not defending him at all. But in the greater scheme of things let's be honest: it's no big deal.

And nobody is disputing that QBs manipulate the balls.

It's perfectly legal. Eli Manning has a whole process to get the balls exactly as he likes them. And it's legal.

    However.

Once you turn the balls over to the ref for the weigh-in--the manipulation stops.

    By league rule.

Brady has done what NO other QB has ever been accused of or even suspected of.

His own genius coach didn't know what he was doing and that guy knows what ply toilet paper the team buys.

Joe Montana is the greatest quarterback who ever lived, and ever will live. Period.

I never thought he was in the top echelon (Best 5 All Time Qbs) anyways. But this episode (for me) doesn't change my thinking about his as a Qb. As for being a cheater: it confirms it.

In a discussion of whether a player is considered the GOAT, it sure is a big deal.

And who's to say that LITTLE insignificant edge didn't help him beat the Ravens the week before.

Then it's a HELL of a big deal.

Honest hypothetical question, if Brady's cheating was the difference between beating the Ravens and losing to the Ravens (not saying it is but assuming arguendo it was), would you still say it's still "no big deal"?

But they do it within the confines of the rules... talk to me when someone else gets caught.

I'm not going to be on Brady's side. The cheating had "nothing" to do with the results of games. The proof of that was the Colt's game. I'm not going to play the fool for a change and argue about something and support someone I despise. Like you said yesterday, I'm just delighted at the embarrassment this is bringing tp them and I'm sure somewhere Eric Mangini has a big smirk on his face. I only wish all of them the worst.

Take Brady and the Pats out of the discussion.

You said the deflating of the footballs was "not that big of a deal".

It was done for SOME purpose, to gain SOME competitive advantage, otherwise there was no reason to do it.

So hypothetically if that TINY competitive advantage allowed a team to beat another team by 4 points to gain entry into the AFC Championship game, would not THAT be a big deal?

This and other threads got me thinking. Who goes down as the Greatest NFL Cheater of All time?

Obviously B*li*ch*ck and Br*dy are at the top of the list, I can't think of any others who could reach the pinnacle of cheating supremacy that these 2 have.

Spygate and Deflategate are obviously at the top of the list. Do we include the Tuck Rule? How much influence was there on that call? That could go all the way to the top to Kraft having an in to get his team to the Super Bowl.

Sure there are PEDs and pumped in crowd noise, there are texts from the press box and of course we can't leave out when Sal Alosi tripped a Dolphin player. But I am not sure this is going to go anywhere since it seems clear to me there are no equals when it comes to cheating in the NFL, Br*dy and B*li*ch*ck are "The Greatest Cheaters of All Time".

    Pretty much.

I don't think you can be considerer the Greatest Cheaters of All Time as well as the GOATS in their respective positions.

I'm guessing Al Davis probably broke quite a few rules in the 70's

Who is your top 5 and where does brady rank? I'm honestly interested in your response, not trying to cause shit.

Just stop.... you are really embarrassing yourself defending them junc and I would never say that about you unless it was true.

So every team in the league is smarter than the Patriots yet no one can figure out how to stop their 5 yard bubble screens to Jewish Lightning Edelman? Come on man... 31 other teams are cheating and only the Pats get caught... now for a 2nd time.

I don't want another 30 page argument over nothing. So I won't take your bait. I don't see a 4 pt advantage by deflating balls to Brady's preferred specs. And I'm shocked that as a lover of franchisc Qbs you would have this opinion. So what do you want to do? Strip them from the 4 rings? Come on, man. It's a nice thought, though.

I HATE the Pats more than anyone besides the Giants, I don't think any of these issues they have been caught for have been big deals.
