geno BLOWS... He has TERRIBLE recognition, TERRIBLE throwing mechanics & TERRIBLE Leadership Qualities... Barring injury to anyone else breathing HE WILL NOT BE THE OPENING DAY STARTER.

It's funny that Geno fans think this FO and coaching staff and Chan have an affinity for Geno because he's a two year Jet and is younger and has an AWESOME upside.

This staff is going to go with the guy who will give them the best chance to (i) win games and (ii) not lose games.

Fitzy is no stud but he'll be an infinitely better game manager than Geno.

he was ranked 29th our fo 32 NFL starting QBs last season. He was completely awful and one of the bigger problems on a team that went 4-12.

i dont see why it would be a mystery he is hated on.

 

at worst fitz wont turn it over as much as geno will. that alone is enough to start fitz.

 

Exactly. I don't think this FO is counting on the upside turnaround from Geno--that's why they took Petty.

Manage the game with Fitz, play stout defense and win the division now that Brady is going to miss time.

do you honestly think brady is going to miss time? i cant see that being the case.

the pats open the season on a thursday night and get crowned champs. you think the league is going to suspend brady and open up the season with that negative publicity and circus? no chance

i think they fine brady hard(250k) and MAYBE dock the pats a 2nd or 3rd round pick

Interesting perspective. I don't hate him, I just get extremely frustrated by him because I believe he has a ton of physical talent, but lacks the decision-making and on-field awareness to play the position effectively.

 

if they opened their season on sunday with the rest of the league vs the redskins i could see it maybe. but i doubt it now

but yeah hopefully league shows some balls

 

It would actually draw HIGHER ratings because you're always going to get the football fans,. This will bring a fringe element.
