Also, let me just say this: The windmill-pad save by Lundquist got a goal-like reaction from the crowd. What a loud pop that was.

Also, the crowd reaction to the Ovechkin goal was something else. They wanted to boo, but they knew they just saw something absolutely awesome. If it were a regular season game, he might have gotten a standing ovation.

Cute, how old? So he's on his way to Washington? My son is going to Washington, he is 1-0 in the Nation's Capitol...

He is five and a half. Give him the bucket of fresh-popcorn and he is good for the game.

He really is something. He didn't want to miss a minute of the game. I had to drag him to the bathroom during the second intermission.

the rangers are road dawgs! they're gonna play well tonight and take control of this series.

I hope you guys are not blind and can see the true improvements Barry Trotz and the Capitals have made this season. This is the 5th time the Caps have played the Rangers in the playoffs since 2009. They are a much different team. Yet, somehow Ovechkin might be playing better than he ever has, all at the same time. I have been very impressed.

I have no idea how you can even compare Crosby to Ovechkin these days.

Capitals need the lead or they're in trouble. The whole Trotz game plan is to get ahead and then clutch and grab to obstruct the opponent so they can't get back in the game

I still think that Holtby is incredibly overrated. The Rangers missed three open nets in game 1 (Brassard, Yandle, and I forget who else.) In Game 2, Kreider hit a post and missed an open net, or he would have had a hat-trick.

Holtby is not overrated. He is a really good goalie. His issue right now could be that he is run down. I mean Trotz severely overused him in the regular season. Really my only complaint with Trotz is his lack of use in a back-up goalie. Maybe he just really hates Caps backup Justin Peters. When Holtby was sick in Round 1, Trotz recalled Grubauer from Hershey instead of starting Peters. Haha.

I don't think he's overrated. I consider him a top goalie in the league but not a fortress like Hank or Rask. He won't let in any soft goals but he can be beat with good playmaking

Why do we have to play the Washington Capitals? They're like so boring what with those Montreal Canadian wannabe uniforms which look like a Modells-made mix of Le Habs and the Harlem Globetrotters. About the only thing remotely interesting that's involved them was Maria Kirilenko dropping that master of the knee-on-knee cheapshot, apex troll Alex Ovechkin who himself looks like a cross between The Walton's "John Boy" and Richard "Jaws" Kiel.

While they correctly didn't give Backstrom 2:00 minutes for boarding, the Crapitals still should get 2:00 for boring. Really, why is that franchise even in the NHL in the first place? Washington??….hockey??…makes no sense.

This sucks, going to chalk up this stagnant offense on a tight DC team. Gotta find a way to score and win

Rangers never make it easy. This sucks, Lundqvist kept us in it and a flukey goal won it for them.

Sucks we lost this one...Rangers took no shots that were difficult on Holtby.

So fucking let down with Marty St. Louis...

Rick Nash is at least trying, but he also is back to taking those wide open angle shots that are so easy to handle. Come on, change it up. Damn this Zucc injury is hurting us, but the Rangers need to keep attacking.

Boyle is the biggest bust and is completely finished, followed by Rick First-Half Nash, and MSL who obviously is also finished

Yandle is most responsible for the loss tonight. Bad giveaways but most importantly knocked in the only goal for the Caps
