I hope not - say what you like about Brady but the guy is a great player and I would love the Jets to one day have such a cornerstone - I want him to retire as much as the next guy but on his own terms.
Yeah, who knows what will happen if we did. Remember what happened when we ended Bledsoe's NE career.
I'd rather the Jets beat the snot out of him on the field so the Patsies and their fans don't have the "Well, if Brady didn't get hurt" excuse.
i don't want brady to get hurt just because as a jets fan, beating brady and the patriots is basically our super bowl i still want to beat the living shit out of him though and hope leonard rocks him
Selfishly in my younger days I have prayed for a Tom Brady injury. Now I am at the point I rather beat him by outplaying him than remove him due to injury and be the better team on the field. The AFC East is a bear this year, lets make it a nightmare for any qb we face.
I don't think one of the defenses will end his career through injury but I think collectively they will start the downfall. Traditionally Brady has only struggled against dominant defensive lines that pressure him up the middle and force him off his spot; getting pressure with the front 3 while still dropping enough in coverage to take away his quick hitters. 6 of his games this year are against top 5 defensive lines. He's looking at Suh/Ware, then Rex with Dareus/Williams/Williams then Williams/Richardson/Wilkerson twice each (that's a lot of Williams's).
New England has a potential starting IOL of a 2nd year center and 2 rookie guards. More likely rookie LG (Jackson), 2nd yr C (Stork), vet RG (Wendell), but Wendell can be beaten out by Mason who was a dominant run blocker (most say best in the draft) at RG. So there could be some wildly inexperienced players starting against some of the best looking DL's in the NFL this season. The catch is that while very inexperienced, the 2 rookies should be TALENT upgrades from last season, so it's up to the coaches to prepare them. I still believe that NE is a few levels above everyone else in the AFCE but to say that our division isn't making strides is silly. The gaps appear to be closing, but thats only based on the offseason, what we all think of the offseason and what it actually leads to are very rarely the same thing. I can think of all 4 teams having fantastic signings on paper in March, April, and May who ended up accomplishing absolutely nothing significant the following September.
It doesn't matter as long at BB is there they will win games he proved this already with shitty Matt Cassel
ya that's the same shit I've heard over the last 5 years, Patriots get off to a slow start, then the Brady's done BS begins, then at the end their in the Superbowl
I'm waiting for Brady to pull a Bruce Jenner and once he hits retirement come out saying he is a woman deep inside in a big interview with Oprah.
Change Strahan to Leonard, and Frerotte with Brady the bitch. That's what I want to see. Ya, I said it.
